My normal photo hosting site I can't get into for some reason, so here's some new pictures I just took of my phone of my Sphynx this way :) One of my IGs, Hannah, is in a couple pictures with Haley - They LOVE playing with each other! I've also included one of my Afghan puppy, Pharoah - I rescued him through the national Afghan Hound Rescue back in April and he's just been the best dog! Originally he was only going to be a foster - that lasted about an hour if that LOL

I have to say I've never been a fan of afghan's and I've always felt really bad for them in the summer time and just wanted to rescue one so I could shave it ....but I LOVE Pharoah. How cute is he?!?!?!

Isn't he something? I keep him clipped down, really short on his saddle and neck, and then just long enough to be fluffy on his side coat and top knot :). He's much happier that way! He's a great ambassador for the breed, he's a bit unusual for an Afghan, he's got a very soft personality with other dogs, and loves all people. Despite his rough past, he's just so trusting and loving, everyone falls in love with Pharoah's charm! He's my heartdog, I've placed over 200 dogs in new homes, Pharoah is my first flunk :)

Pharoah is so cute!!

I've always considered fostering, but I think I would flunk out every time. It must be so hard to give them up...even though you know they're going to a great home, I imagine a little piece of you goes with every one of them?

Well, it definatly takes a different mindset to rescue and foster!!! And some are definatly harder to let go of then others - But the way I look at it, if I keep them all, I can't save anymore, by letting them move on to great homes it opens up a place for me to help the next animal that needs my help! My last foster was also an Afghan, and since it took 6 months of tears, prayers, and negotiation to get him away from his neglectful owners, and the fact he was such a sweet guy, he was very hard to let go of, but I drove all the way to Phoenix to deliver him to the home I chose for him, and I know he's going to be very happy. It is very hard, but so rewarding in so many ways! But they sure do take a big piece of my heart with them when they go! There's not one of the animals I've placed that I don't remember their name, where I got them from, what their story is, or where they are now! They always come back if they ever need a home again, and many of them I still see from time to time.

Those are cute pics! My mom has two IG's and when I get my sphynx kitty in October I want to introduce them. That's great that they get along so well.
