Meet my newest rescue boy - Osirus! He's such a handsome devil, I rescued him from a family in Las Vegas, they just decided he was to much cat for them. The daughter (adult - Guessing her to be in her mid 30s) bought him from a breeder as a kitten, had him for a year, then decided he just wasn't the right cat for her so gave her to his mom. There he spent alot of time outside, and just wasn't getting the attention he deserved, so he retaliated by peeing in the house! Naught boy!! I'm going to make sure there's no medical reason for his peeing in the house, but I'm betting it was purely behavioral. He's actually in better shape then I was expecting by the way the described him to me, he's only 2 years old, and such a sweet, loving cat! HATES car rides, but he did finally settle down once we got going. I haven't decided yet if he's going to be a permanent member of my family, or if I'm going to seek out a new forever home for him. First things first, he needs a good work up from my vet, and some time to settle in before I even think about anything else!

He's a sweet boy - Within 1 minute of meeting him he as all over me, giving me face rubs, kisses, and loving me up! He's hilarious with the dogs, he thinks he is a dog! He played for like 2 hours with my little Aiyana last night, I was just in stitches laughing so hard! He's ALOT bigger then my other 2 Sphynx, and alot cleaner then my Oogie monster LOL Oog is just a dirty boy - I can bathe him and he'll be a mess again within an hour!

He is really cute! I can't believe he was outside in Vegas - I assume he had no sunscreen.

Glad he has a great home with you for now!

I'm glad you rescued him--can't believe he was outside. Poor little thing. Hope he quits peeing inside for you--much easier to find a home without the peeing....or to keep yourself. Bless you for giving him another chance at a good life.

He is such a sweetie! So far no peeing in the house, but we'll see. To the owners credit - he's actually in better shape then I expected the way the described him to me over the phone! I had to bite my tongue as they told me how they where worried about him getting hit by a car or getting stollen - he wasn't permanently outside, but kept going out the doggy door - solution, either get rid of the dog door, or get one with a magnetic lock! He was getting cheep cat food (think dollar store variety :( ), But at least they did right by him in the end and let me take him! He's young, appears healthy, and if I decide to place him, I'm sure I'll have plenty of interest.

Lydia: He is a handsome one! I would have to keep them all! I will be going to get my two on the 5th. I can't wait to see them and just want to heal quickly from surgery!

Are you doing ok, Marna?
I was just going to ask the same thing! Glad you're at least feeling well enough to get back online!

As for placing him Maximus, he doesn't travel well, so if I do end up deciding to place him in a new forever home, I want it to be someone within a few hours drive of me at most, I don't know how I'd get him all the way across the country, since he hates traveling I think it'd just be way to stressful for him!

Good grief! :Frown:

But thank god you brought him into your life. He is adorable! I love his color. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do. I know he's in better hands now.
