Hi guys

yesterday I noticed these little bumps on Ziggy's belly. I'm waiting for the vet to text me back.

In the meantime, do any of you have any idea what it could be? Has this ever happened to your kittens?

Thank you so much in advance!

no she is not sterilised

It is probably hormonal. Highly suggest spaying.

Let us know what the vet says.

@vittoandziggy , echoing catzzzmeow's reply.

*sharing, if she is a pet/not a breeding cat, I highly recommend spaying . it could very well be hormonal. ** please check with your vet.

** be sure to ask your vet about Pyometra, which is a uterus infection, unspayed females not bred have a risk of developing life threatening pyometra. there are two types, open and closed. my neighs pup needed emergency surgery. sharing for info bcz I learned about it years ago and had never known about it.
** I confirm with vet NO ketamine anesthesia . mine uses gas inhalant isoflurane.

keep us updated often. hugs n head smooches.

Hi guys, I'm here for an update:

The lumps on her belly were due to breast hyperplasia from excess progesterone. These lumps disappeared after about 2 weeks.
In the next few days she will be sterilised, and in this way she will no longer have these kinds of problems :)

I am so happy that Ziggy is well and I just wanted to share it with you ❤️❤️❤️

@vittoandziggy , glad you got a diagnosis and spay scheduled for sweet Ziggy.

* be sure to confirm with vet "NO Ketamine " anesthesia. I learned it can have a rebound effect on heart if there are unknown underlying heart conditions. I have my pets charts marked NO Ketamine and no Ketamine combo anesthesia.

My vet discusses with me what anesthesia she uses , Isoflurane gas inhalant and some other anesthesia meds she uses with exotic pets.

So Glad Ziggy is doing well. keep us updated on her spay sterilization, You can ask what meds she will go home with and some get a soft cone, like the flower one they sell on amazon to keep on hand or a onsie recovery suit members have shared here on SL., in case she licks sutures My girl bounced back quickly after her spay and did not need a cone or onsie recovery suit. I put her in my bedroom and did my best to keep busy buddy from jumping.

hugs n head smooches beautiful Team ZIggy! please keep us updated!
