Not sure what her deal is today but I just came home from running an errand and she is running around crazy. At first I had made a microwave fetticini thing and I set it on the computer desk while I was getting my drink. She ran and jump right on the computer desk and landed all 4 paws right in my dish!!!! She hopped out like a cat on fire of course since she probably scolded the crap out of her paws.. She got it all over the computer, chair, floor, you name it hoppin out of that dish. Picked her up, checked her out, cleaned her up, she looks ok, I can't see any blisters. I'll keep an eye on it.
Then she starts running around sounding like a hurd of horses, she keeps running into the bedroom, then running back out and jumping and flying mid air to my back as I sit here in the computer chair!!! It hurts, she is biting my back, I'm bleeding in two places now!!!! I'll yell owe, she jumps off leaving scratches runs to the bedroom and then comes back and does the same thing. Just heard her gasping while she was on my back, looked over my shoulder, she had her bottom canine tooth caught in a string of her sweater and she couldn't get it undone. Had to save her! lol What a morning.
Luckily Snuffie has heard the chaos and is keeping her busy now...gosh. I've never seen SoBe like this before! lol

Warren does this all the time, as well. He races through the house like a bat out of hell; jumping, frolicking, meowing, knocking everything over. I usually just try to stay in one place and out of his way!

Both Teeka and Hyde have moments like that (Teeka, usually has several moments a day like that) where it's best just to get out of the way and prepare to clean up afterwards. I call them "Spasti-cat moments."

Crazy critters ...

Hahaha! I was just telling my friend that Jack does this (usually in the morning or late at night) b/c when I get home he's all dazedish from waking up! He only has back claws, but let me tell you, they can do some serious damage! I was just showing him all the marks, scratches, etc. that he's given me this morning as I was getting ready and noticing how many I have! He just looked at me, all bright-eyed and completely innocent...as if to say "I did that? Naaaaa...."

As for the hurd of horses...I am amazed, too, at how little Jack is and how loud he sounds pouncing through the house! Don't know if it's a sphynx thing, but my first 3 furry felines...well, they were so graceful when they ran, jumped, landed from a jump, etc...you never heard anything! AND they were huge. Jack, he's like my lump of lard little guy when he lands from a jump or runs through the house! Hahaha!! Is the lack of gracefulness a sphynx trait...kinda like the dog part of them?

Oh Niles has started this the last few weeks. He grabs a toy and takes off running around like a bat out of hell. He will jump from chair to chaise to TV then ruuuuun and land in the bed next to the sliding glass door which pushes the blinds back and makes this crashing sound. He knocked off 2 glass coasters yesterday and thought itd be fun to play with the chunks in the 15 seconds it took me to the get the broom. No injuries!

She had the "crazies"!!! When the cats get like this they run the length of the house, their claws tearing on the carpet, bounce off the walls and kitty castle - it's like watching kitty parkour. The dogs typically do circles around the coffee table :Surprise: Go figure :Hysterical:

I'm familiar with that behavior. Nuts starts using everyone and everything as a spring board. Like the tasmanian devil.

Love the new profile pic Candys.

Yes - I am ok, the wounds are healing. lol They are on my back so I have to have Jimmy keep an eye on them for me. lol She was biting my bra strap and happened to knick me a few good times. The shirt I was wearing is ruined, luckily I was still in my jammies since I was practicly snowed in that day and was just sitting here doing my school work! (I started college this week online!!! I'm so excited.)

Anyhow - all is well. I'm healing. =)

Sphynx are such crazy little creatures. Gleek is a galloper too. The dogs and the other cats just watch him run up and down the halls and stairs.

It's interesting because I'm disabled (work related injury) and can't work. My cats are only alone for a few hours here and there when I shop or whatever. I still worked when I got Shiva, but my room mate was with him most of the time.

Their frenzies are brief and pretty much involve Venus running up and down the stairs a few times using her brother as a launching pad if possible.

Venus gets the rowdy around sunrise... especially if she's nipped! I don't discourage her for Neon's sake. If she's not running up and down the stairs she's dancing on his head. I have wood floors and a long staircase... the stairs are directly over another staircase so until you get used to it you can't tell which you are hearing... My brother was sleeping in my basement (it's a finished apartment) and said he kept waking up hearing someone running down the basement steps and no one was there...heehee... I wonder who????? a ghost elephant perhaps????

The sound always makes me smile...it's amazing the sound 4 little paws can make.

My cats have a different game they play with me... Sometimes I have human company and according to my cats they stay too late.

First my short haired kitty Kuma will come down and yell at me for about 15 minutes then go back upstairs. She'll do this a few times. Then she sicks the naked things on me. I'll hear Venus calling me from upstairs... if that doesn't do it she comes down as well. If she finds me working at my computer or on a project she will do her best to express it's time for bed...This involves trying to delete files and tormenting me as only she knows how to do. She'll go back upstairs... she usually goes up and down 3 times then Neon takes his turn. Neon has one of the most soulfilled I need you mommy meows I have ever heard. I'm sure he practices when I'm at Walmart. He'll come down a few times...then he starts teaming up with Venus and if that doesn't work they start over again or pull out the big guns....Shiva comes down!

When they realize they've won Venus takes over and will escort me to the stairs. I swear she does everything but shove me up them. She'll start out leading me... but she only stays one step ahead in case she needs to get behind me or I try and escape.
When I get upstairs Shiva is always at the top of the stairs waiting with his watch tapping his toes. It feels like they are herding me around the house. I knew what sheep feel like around a dog!

If I get up in the middle of the night they auction off my spot in the bed. Kuma is 18-1/2 years old and you never know it unless she wants you to...like if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I swear I could be gone for 2 seconds and she looks like she's been there for hours.

She won't move... She makes all these moaning dejected, how can you do this to me...I'm such an OLD cat...what was that...can't hear ya... If Venus wins my spot she'll just growl and say go away ...at which point I say move it or lose it...big naked flat greaseball coming up... usually she'll move. Sometimes she'll go stand on Neon...if she's awake he has to be too.
