Hi all. I have 2 sphynx boys, Albus (6) and Draco (2), and Draco is significantly more oily than Albus. He gets dirtier faster, his ears get waxier faster, and his nails get gunkier faster. Which of course means that between baths (1-2 weeks), furniture and counters get more marks on them. Does anybody have a suggestion for how to regulate this, other than increased bath frequencies?

Also, what are your favorite products for bathing your sphynxs? I have used Renewed Pet for their general shampoo and it's good, but I am still curious to what your favorites are. And do you have any favorite products for cleaning their paws specifically? Thank you!!

I am sorry I can not recommend my products to you as I live in China. But I only buy products with a picture of a sphinx on it. I am totally illiterate in Chineses so I buy by price, believing more expensive is a safer bet. I too am very interested in the paw cleaning More specific the nails cleaning. Thank you for asking this question

I use TriZULTRA plus keto in the ears. It really cuts back on the wax production after only a couple uses.

For shampoo I use Hylyt. I like it because it rinses really well and it doesn’t dry out their skin.

May I ask how you clean his nails. I feel very guilty as I clean his paws but am clueless on this nail cleaning procedure. I can trim them easily and that is about it

I’m kinda weird about cleaning them. The best is to get the gunk soft at bath time so you can easily wipe it off. But I did nails more often than baths. So what I would do is clip the nails first, then use dry cotton swabs to twirl under the nail to get the gunk from below and I’d use the swabs kinda like a toothbrush on the sides of the nail. I would also twirl in the skin folds. Ellie had this one spot on both front paws that collected gunk like a navel. It was gross lol.
