So Fritz and Aphex are now 6 months and they’re currently at the vets getting neutered and microchipped. We made sure they’re not using any ketamine and they fasted overnight so I'm hoping there won’t be any problems, but I still worry.

We dropped them off at 9.30 and they told us to phone at 3pm to see how they were getting on. So hopefully we can take them home shortly after that. They must be starving! I’m just anxiously rambling.

Anyone able to put our minds at ease?
Bonus pics everyone loves pictures!

I will be in your place next month with my 2 . But i can tell you @Bailey21 she had yoda done and he was amazing. You never would have known anything was even done to him. Didn't even look like he had stiches. Just a small bruise from the needle thats it.

Look at those little angels!! My boy was neutered back in March and I felt the exact same way! I could barely even focus at work thinking he must be lonely and starving at the vet. Of course all my worrying was for nothing, when I picked him up after work it was like nothing ever happened!! The vet staff absolutely loved him and didn't want to hand him over :D

He was so hyper and ready to eat and play, and honestly I could barely even see an incision (it was like nothing was done, no stitches)! Just a little bruise on his leg from the IV. We didn't need to use a cone either as I don't think he even realized he left two peas lighter :p

Yoda is Home from his Neuter! here's my thread if you want to see the tiny bruise.

Glad to hear everything went well with yoda! I realise it’s a fairly simple procedure but when they get you to sign the papers it makes it feel so serious. Will update when we get them home. Just twenty minutes until I can phone them!

Thanks for the reassurance :)

So reassuring to hear your story! Thanks for sharing. I’m sure I’ll feel better once I see them. It’s crazy how they’ve only been gone a few hours and the house already feels empty without them! Yoda is a handsome boy and I suppose that bruise doesn’t look too bad.

@Schutzzzie , checking in for updates on your boys Fritz amd Aphex
Speedy recovery vibes !
(My boys didn't miss a beat when they got neutered )

Be sure to contact the microchip company directly and verify they are registered and contact info correct .
Often there is a separate fee to pay to actual register the microchip in addition to the vets fee to perform the microchipping.
Be sure to update phone numbers and addresses. This can be overlooked with getting new phones or moving .

@Traci Smith , how is Niles ? Hopefully his neutering went well too!

Head smooches to all

Update!
They’re back home and doing well. Initially they were super hyper and trying to climb everything but eventually they settled down for a nap. They look a little sore down there but they dont seem to notice.

Thanks so much to everyone for your posts, it certainly helped us relax a little!

Just about to register the chips, thanks for the reminder! They’re napping now but seemed fairly unfazed. Can relax now that they’re home :)
