It’s been 1 month since you’ve been gone and yet it feels as if your presence is still here, in our home, in our bed where you liked to snuggle and bite our feet. Everywhere.
We met you exactly one year ago and who would’ve thought we’d grow to love you as much as we did! You were our light, our little resilient boy with a very sick heart (unbeknownst to anyone from the day you were born - Tetralogy of Fallot) but the most beautiful playful little soul and you never once showed an ounce of pain or a drop of fear, instead you showered ua with endless cuddles and an outpouring of just pure love.
As sad as it may be, quarantine gave us the gift of time and hope, we learned about your little routines and we prayed for your prompt recovery once we found out about that miracle heart of yours.
That heart is now a pioneer to science, donates to you le heart specialist at the RVC so they can study it and hopefully save other sick pets in the near future.
We miss you so much Maxi! You left a massive hole in our lives. Wherever you are we hope you are running wild, happy and in peace and that your heart never stops. Surely you are wrecking havoc knocking sponges and things off their place.
Rest easy little one.
Your adopted Mommy and Daddy,
Patty & Ian.
