Looking for some ideas here so despite of having a few places for my Miya-Sotz to get warm, including a cave with a heated pad, heated pad on chair with blankets, hide out with blankets in her climbing tree and one of her fabs a folded single duvet where she buries herself with heat pad. Plus blankets all over the place. She likes to sit on top of the radiator, I installed a bed on top of the radiator for her however she still sits on top of the radiator, I am concerned she is burning her back legs I have noticed some redness there. Please help any ideas?

Hi , your house sounds very much like ours with all the blankets and heated pads etc! And also our Wilson used to prefer to sit on the radiators too . However , our girl Kiwi doesn't bother with them. When he did this we gently coaxed him off but obviously you won't always be around to notice them doing it Does she do it on all the radiators or just certain ones? Could you place some heat safe items on them to discourage her ? Im sure other members will come up with some genius ideas to help deter her xx

It is just one radiator, that’s a good idea I will think of some items to out there, when we are around we re direct her to the bed once she is there she stays there so hopefully she will get use to it

Didn't you know cats are liquid! Our cat also slips in under the windowsill. Cover your radiators with thick towels (or old tshirts), that's what helped us. Still warm but not burning Osi.

Hi Yana

Thank you for the idea however I would not recommend doing that, I recently completed fire marshal training and that is a massive fire hazard. Somebody suggested outing some fire safe items to stop her getting there I will try that!
