Hey all,
So I’ve dropped off a stool sample at the vets today as church is still being sick and having runny poop!

What will they test for? was this the right thing to do or have I just wasted £60?! ‍♀️

Always smart to have a sample run when things are not normal. It helps rule out many parasites and issues. If it comes back clear then you can rule out foods/bacteria that are irritating to them. Let us know how it goes.

You did the right thing. You have to start by eliminating possibilities and get a game plan. Hugs

@SarahShambles Keep us updated on the poo sample results
Ask if they are checking for giardia or lesser known culprit - tritrichomonas we have seen in a few kitties

Btw , what is the protein % in Church's food
Just to share my crew couldn't handle Orjen or high protein % foods or treats for that matter .
I do give a ue diary hairball kibble as treats -
Read that hairball formulas often help with poo issues

It is Never a waste to get poo sample check - gives a good baseline to rule things out and go from there
Following closely for updates

Thank you for the advice everyone! Definately reassures me it’s the right thing to do!
I should get the results within 5 days! Fingers crossed it’s nothing sinister!
