Tobylove has a history of lipomas on his body. He has a couple of lipomas on his body since age 2.
He is 11 1/2 yrs old.
He has a very round fingernail size lump on side of face, looks like the lipoma he has had for almost a decade on his side, no issues.
hopeful a benign lipoma or a follicular cyst .
he is eating , drinking , and playing as usual. I am not in a panic mode .
will reach out to vet and keep you updated. of course it's always on a Friday and holiday time when folks are going out of town.

Tobylove vet appointment this morning 1130 am with his regular vet.

This morning I noticed/felt slight swollen lymph nodes behind both ears.

please, extra prayers for my senior baby Tobylove.

He ate normal this morning, acting normal. He walked on his exercise wheel talking the whole time.

I know in my gut something not right.

Took Toby love in for his lump and for in my gut suspected heart issue with slight cough the other day.
chest Xrays, blood work, cystocentesis urine, and thyroid check. (senior panel)

with heavy deep breaths sharing:

vet said xray had "weird" heart shape and maybe asthma. I knew different in my gut and could tell by her facial expression.

I took him home and he strolled on his cat wheel slowly, talking then snuggled in his fav blankie

my heart sunk because I knew in my gut. Sent out to radiologist. My vet called me back at 7 pm after hours. I told her, let me guess, HCM and CHF. :(
sadly she said yes, you are right.

Dr Jackson called the cardiologist before calling me after hours and asked what meds to start.

My vet stayed on the phone with me at 730 pm while we ordered 4 meds from chewy as local pharmacy does not have dosage.

Cardiologist wanted 4 meds started.
Furosemide (lasix) , Benazepril, Clopidogrel, Spironolactone.
the cardiologist asked if I was goinig to be able to give all these pills, especially with the clopidogrel being bitter.
I knew in my gut and had actually ordered a new jorgensen pill popper on amazon the day before.

as luck would have it, chewy cannot deliver until Saturday, maybe Sunday when I called them. My vet approved asap that night when she was on the phone with me . but, holiday, shiipping at least a day out.

my vet had mentioned that I could pick up some Lasix at office when I talked with her at 7 pm.
I called office yesterday morning and requested the lasix, Furosemide. Emma called me asap and said come pick it up. I got there, got home and got the lasix (furosemide) into Tobylove. he was half asleep so easy. he has had a am/pm cough.

Last night at 8 pm, 3 hours after office hours closing, my vet called me checking on TobyLove .

I told her about the holiday delay of meds. she said let me check. she got back on phone and said she has some of the other 3 meds to donate and she will leave it the meds in a bag at the back door of the vet office. Last night at 9pm I went and got the meds and promptly gave to Toby. He was not thrilled , but got it down , followed by praise n treat.

I gave Tobylove a big head smooch, I told him we got this , He has no idea of report or xray results. The lump showed blood in it, not good either but secondary obviously to heart issues priority.

this morning he woke up coughing for a few minutes. I gave his lasix and benazepril and fed him wet food in bed which he enjoyed.

please keep Tobylove in your hearts and prayers. He is my baby boy in the bunch and my heart is broken with the news,

That was great that your vet made a work around to get the meds for you. Love that boy up extra hard for me. Knowledge is power, so knowing what is going on will help you/Toby in the long run. Hugs are sent.
