Has anyone ever experienced their female cat having infection type discharge with the possibility of being early on in pregnancy? I understand Pyometra and other things however I just wanted to get other opinions.
No worries. I work at the vet so she was already seen today. He didn’t confirm it was Pyo based on Xrays and such but I’m just curious what it could be.
@AnomalousSphynx what was the diagnosis? Did vet put her on antibiotics or mention if it could be early signs of pyometra? How old is she? Is the the 7 mos old girl?
She is going on 2 years old currently. She did come back into heat recently but did not get pregnant. The vet said early signs of likely open pyomeyra instead of closed due to drainage. He put her on antibiotics and wants to see he back in 2 weeks or sooner if she worsens. If the antibiotics do not help she will most likely need to be spayed.
Yes I de believe it will likely be best. She is one of my highest quality intact cats and I had planned for kittens in the future but things do not always work out.
