My 1 year old male sphynx recently had his 2nd year rabies shots, and started to slowly spread around his neck and under arm and upper belly. Is there any type of topical ointments to help clear up and stop him from constantly scratching them?

Any tips or recommendations from anyone that has similar issues after vaccinations?

Thanks

I just read up on it a bit more. From what I read, hives are considered a moderate reaction. Any cat that has a moderate reaction should see their vet as things can worsen and become very bad. I read with moderate reactions most vets will give anti-inflammatory drugs such as a corticosteroid in order to reduce chances of things worsening and becoming severe which can be very dangerous. Please update us. The bump is normal and considered a mild reaction, the hives are key of why to contact your vet. @cosmosphynx

@cosmosphynx , Healing vibes sent
You mentioned he is one year old
Was it second rabies shot ? Amd or other vaccines too?
Rabies is usualLy given right rear leg
Some other vaccines are giving left rear leg

Which read leg has the small vaccine sight lump ?
Mine have gotten a small lump at vaccine sites too

** definitely contact the vet
So if he needs meds it's best to get in his system sooner than waiting

Please keep us updated often

((Hugs and healing head smooches )))
