Redish bruising after neuter?

Hey everyone! I got my little guy neutered on Wednesday. Picked up him up in the evening and he's seemed fine. He's been eating and acting normally. I checked this morning and everything was fine but after getting home from work there was a large red spot between his back legs. I took him to the vet and they had a look but said they're not sure what's causing it. They're going to do some blood test and they gave me Onsior, pain and anti inflammatory medication, and told me to try icing it. Anyone seen anything like this?

Ouch. I am attaching an old thread that shows another baby had the same type of bruising and glad to say it did clear up quickly. I hope,the same happens for your baby.Terrible bruising after neuter

@snajim That's what's great about this community, lots of information is shared and stored so people can reference other posts of similar issues. Facebook groups just don't provide info like this forum community. I'm glad it helped settled your nerves. These guys fast. Happy healing!

Also Timo is doing much better today! The bruise is much smaller and should be gone soon!

@snajim that's a relief to hear that Timo is doing much better today. It can be so frightening to see that bruise on your baby.
