i think all animals are beautiful in their own way if we all looked the same then there would be something really wrong and i think the same goes for animals it gets me mad when i see things like this there is just no need poor things i even think the Aye Aye is cute in its own way most people think i'm mad but i really do love every animal. you dont see scientists puting up a photo of a really ugly human do you i bet the person who wrote the article deserves to be up there more than any of those animals

Wow this lady that did this contacted me to use one of our cats but did not tell me it was for ugly animals just that she needed a sphynx and owner from ny and if she could not find some one in ny she would use us. If I would have known it was for ugly I would have never responded to her.
If I were a reporter and needed a few pictures for my story on Sphynx I don't think I would mention it was for a article that viewed their pet as ugly either!

My bf was dead set against adopting a sphynx. He stated that "Those are the ugliest things I've ever seen. Why would I pay to own one?" Now that we have one, he can't stop raving about how cute and handsome he is, and how much he loves him. He spoils him rotten! The people in my neighborhood seem to think Hank is nice looking as well. They keep telling me what a cute "dog" I have lol.

I think that most people (close minded ones at least) assume that unusual, 'not the norm' or 'different' things are ugly.
I took the cats to the park to watch the nephew's soccer game tonight, and they were a huge hit! The kids think they are awesome and cool, the adults are the ones that seem to think they are 'ugly'.
Oh and one of the kids was telling me about their dog giving birth, and that his mom had to cut the 'eucalyptus' cord with scissors...

Children have the greatest take on life. They have a keen sense of beauty and can find it in the most unsuspecting places.

I was really shocked at all of the animals in that article that were considered ugly. Of course I don't see how anyone can call a sphynx ugly - how can you look at those gorgeous eyes and not see beauty? But beyond that, the manatee? Bats? I looove bats! I think they have the most adorable faces, and even the ones with red eyes don't change my opinion. Maybe the people calling these animals ugly are the same ones that think we should all look like cloned Hollywood starlets.

Too funny!!!!! I wish I looked like a Hollywood Starlet and I still think Sphynx are cute!!! lol I think some bats are cute,,,,in photos...I'm not all about them flying circles around me tho! lol

I swear that was a photo of my Singe on that page! I agree that they are NOT ugly at all! But some people respond negitively to them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Some bats are just down right adorable!!!!!!
And when people call Sphynx ugly, it just kind of pisses me off. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, blah blah blah. But I look at my sweet blue boy cuddling next to me and wonder how anyone could think THAT is ugly...
No doubt! I think all Sphynx are gorgeous!! Not to mention beauty is whats on the inside and their personality just makes them shine even more then just by looks alone!
