I got forwarded this email today and just wanted to share! I thought it was something really nice - especially this time of year.

"XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL
If you go to www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!"

Here's the link: http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1280.html

I just did one and it took 2 seconds.

I got that email and went on the site. Those cards to pick from are so cute! There was even one with kitties on it! I think it's really great that they are doing this because my friends who have been in Iraq/Afganistan all have said that it means a lot to get cards/care packages from home because they don't get to see anyone from home. If you know anyone who has a friend/family member overseas, see if you can send them books, DVDs, etc. They really appreciate it. I gave a coworker a bunch of DVDs I was going to give away to send to her son and even though some of them were lame and I didn't think they would even watch them (chick flicks and such), they were all so greatful for each movie they got to watch. I never really realized how much downtime they have over there and if you don't know where to get things to entertain yourself over there, you are just bored a lot of the time.
Whether or not you support the reason they are over there, it means a lot to show your support of the men and women who are there and pray for a safe return back to their families and also for the fallen soldiers and their families. These men and women are mostly young and are giving up a lot of their prime "fun and carefree" years to serve our country and that alone is so commendable. I personally have so much respect for anyone who would give up so much for so many people. I know I could never do what they do and it's just amazing.

As a Navy veteran, I know what it's like to be stationed at a strange country during the holidays away from family and friends. I think this site is awesome! It's so great to be able to show our support for our armed forces overseas! Thanks so much for sharing this link, heather...not only did I send a card, but I'm forwarding this info to all of my family, friends, and co-workers.
