@Yoda mom Thanks for researching why it is out of stock. Here are 2 I have used in the past before I started using HyLyt shampoo. I was lucky enough to buy a gallon of HyLyt when we saw it was no longer available to order in standard size. I now call it liquid gold lol.

Worked well when our very first cat has some skin issues. Really good for sensitive skin cats.

Then used this for years me years. You need to use just a little but you need to rinse REALLY well. It is not cheap, but it truly cleaned well.

@Catzzzmeow , I am going to get the clear condiment bottles at the dollar store and dilute the d'grease :) ( tip from a friend)
all these years I have been just scooping a little dgrease out of the jar and using with hylyt

@slarned666 , awh precious photos on your first timer thread... many of us use hylyt.. (vets offices still may have in stock?). I started this thread recently. if you get the degrease,, it has to be rinsed extremely well . it is popular in group. you can dilute it in a condiment container ( I got the condiment containers in walmart last week ).

a pair of exfoliating gloves works wonders to help clean them and hold slippery nakids :) I was told about the exfoliating gloves here a decade ago. they do not scratch the skin.

@Hannibal22 , top of thread see some shampoos members use. I have the degrease shampoo jar too. you can dilute in a condiment container ( squeeze bottle), I got mine at wm for 97 cents. . dgrease works great, just have to be sure to rinse extremely good :) many of us use exfoliating gloves during spa day baths.. I use their shampoo and add a little dgrease during baths.

I was looking at shampoos and saw on chewy DermAllay soap free shampoo.
@jujmejia , sharing

chewy review by Briana , not sure if she is a SL member? she wrote review:

Good for sensitive skin

I’ve been using this to bathe my hairless cat for years. It’s nice and gentle on his sensitive skin yet does a really good job getting dirt and grime off him. It smells delicious and his skin is always super soft afterwards!

They gave us Dermallay and it works amazing. AS soon as I put it on his skin smoothed out and stopped flaking
@Chenoah, wrote in an older post "

From the manufacturer's site:
A soothing, soap-free, general purpose oatmeal shampoo which is indicated for coat and skin conditions where the following properties would be beneficial to the patient: anti-pruritic, moisturizing and barrier repair.

"

Has anyone else tried Dermallay on their nakids or pups?

Thank you , it’s Johnson baby shampooo. That’s what the breeder recommended but it’s just not working all that well now thanks so much for answering I’m new on this site trying to figure out how to navigate it lol

@Meaghan , you are most welcome... all paws are family... when I got my first nakid over a decade ago, was told JJ too. but the ph level is different for kitties so I switched and went with recommendations here and never looked back.. some still use JJ , just the other shampoos worked better for my crew.

if you have any questions navigating the site, dont hesitate to PM me :)

hugs n head smooches, I look forward to you being an active member with lots of pics and tales!

We did a big research on shampoo brands that was available here and it seemed the earth bath oatmeal was the best option for us and tbh it works a treat it's not heavily scented. Lathers up well and is pretty well diluted so easy to apply. Bones' flufft tufts always comes up nice and white and it doesn't leave a residue rinses off as easily as it goes on. And her skins always lush afterwards. Apparently its safe to use with flea treatments too ie doesnt wash them off? So I'd recommend it.
Pic included because today was spa day, bath, nails, ears and eyes and her tush because I've never known a cat have so many poo particles stuck on their pencil sharpener on a daily basis

for those wondering about earthbath and aloe shampoo info:

earthbath team

Thank you for your inquiry. The gel part of the aloe plant ( which is what we use) is non-toxic, where as the outside of the aloe plant is toxic if ingested. We use a minimal amount of aloe as part of our ingredients so it is beneficial and not toxic to the pets' skin and coat.
