Should Abby have a hubby?

Hi everyone. Well, as most of you know Abby is the only baldy in the house. We do have haired cats but I have been thinking about getting another sphynx...you know a hubby. I think she would bond well with another baldy like her. Abby is very shy a lot of the time, but I think she would do well with a buddy. What do you all think?

I have 3 sphynx 2 girls and a boy and he picks on the girls.
In fact Wrinkles is hurt right now because Polar bit her bad on the head.
Do not go by sex when you look for a friend for her.
If you are getting a kitten from a breeder ask them what kitten they think will do well with her.

I just got Emmy my 4.5 year old nudie a new friend...he is almost 19 weeks old and it's been great!!! It only took them 2 days to start acting like they have know each other for ever. I definitely recommend getting another 1 Good luck and yes, ask the breeder about personality even if you end up with another girl!

Sphynx are very social, get her a baby that she can bond with that won't intimidate her.

Most of the time Sphynx seem to really enjoy the company of other Sphynx. So go for it. An experienced Sphynx breeder will be able to give you good suggestions in finding the right companion for Abby. Since you say she is on the shy side, she may do well with a loving little sister or brother, rather than an assertive sibling. Good luck.

I agree Abby needs a friend. When I got a friend for Nudie who is very outgoing and bossy, I made sure to find a sphynx that would be able to deal with her

I would go for a smaller sphynx so she does not feel scared.
Wrinkles is the shy type also.

I'd say another kitten that is passive as well, calm and relaxed. I'd avoid a dominant kitten. But, your breeder will have the best advice for you! Keep us updated!

I agree with the others, you want to find another passive/calm kitty that won't intimidate her.

I brought another Sphynx (SoBe) into our family after having Snuffie for a while and Snuffie didn't care for her too much at first but now they are best buds. Snuffie is very loving and is attached to me like glue, so we brought home another lover. SoBe loves to be in your face, curled around your neck, loves to give head butts and kisses,,so they get along great.

Snuffie is 1 yr 8 mths and 20 days old and SoBe is only 6 mths and 6 days old! I'm obsessive.lol
