Should I take Lady Godiva for a Heart Scan. I adopted her over a month ago, she has had three vet checks and has been spayed and is fine and they are not hearing any murmurs or anything, although, I know you can't always detect that just from listening.

She is around 2 years old and very active. Eats well and plays well. It is pretty expensive, they will do a scan for around $150 and give you the ultrasound. It takes around 15 mins.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks :)

Yes definitely, $150 is well worth it. A scan normally costs anything between 300-800$

We like to scan every year.

We took our 1 year olds, never heard a murmur, one of them was diagnosed with HCM.

So you definitely need the scan to be sure.

I would do it. I have added my email to 2 separate notification lists and will take my 1-1/2 year boy to the next clinic offered in the area.
