Hello from Poland everyone! This is our first post here. I know we should start in introduction section ( and we will!) but now we have a problem and we need your help!

Chaos, is my 9 months, 4.25 kg black bicolor canadian sphynx, castrated male from legal cattery in Poland. He is the sweetest being of it all ( clearly :D). We have our long history with veterinarians, dermatologists, allergies, swollen, rash, wounds, gram (+) bacteries infections, fungus, streptococus felis, antybiotics, steroids, mono and elimination diets and so on and on.. ( I will happly write about our journey if someone will be interested, how we fight and heal our " body chaos" everyday- maybe it will help someon with similar problems).
I decited to write here after being pasive obserwator. This community helped me with many "new kitten" problems - so thank you all! And I have this feeling that polish sphynx communities are more concentradet on healty cats and when you have a problem ther is very little you can find to help yourself.
For now we have allergy under control. And by that i mean now it is in the best state by far ( 5 months since he is living with me, and since i started to noticing symptoms). But...

Ther is always a "but". Now we have different skin problem and me and my veterinarian have no idea what is this. Several weeks ago I noticed discoloration ( or more likeli hiperpigmentation then) on Chaos shoulderblade. I was thinking its from sun exposure or somthing like this. It was in time when my concern was "how to heal his allergy breakouts". So I mentioned this to our vet and we waited while threating allergy. Untill couple days ago when i noticed the patch on his body is larger, chaned colour from hiperpigmented dark spot to discolorated "pushed in", thin skin. I don't know how to decribe it but this is exacly this. Light pink patch on his black body part, under the level of the rest of the skin. And its visibly thiner and more delicate then the rest.
Do any of us seen something like this?
Chaos is taking suplements for skin condition along with anti itching meds, antybiotics and probiotics, and now I put emulsion with ceramides on this area.

I'm so very sorry about my own kind of english language i hope you all can understand what i was tring to write :)
- Karolina and Chaos.

Welcome to sphynxlair! I love your cats name.
Sorry to hear you're dealing with all these skin issues. My first though is that it looks like a burn now. Is it possible he burned himself? But since you say it looked different before it's probably not a burn.
Hope other members chime in and share their ideas.
Sending healing vibes.

Oh and by the way, your English is fine. I'm from the Netherlands and we have lot of member who are not native English so don't worry

Thank you so much for all the love! Chaos is the biggest cuddle monster

By now our vet diagnosed food allergy and becouse of that at first fungus then streptococus felis.

On allergy we tried mono and elimination diet. We made blood allergy test- results was matching skin reactions. In 5 months we discover that Chaos is allergic to:
- corn
- rice
( but i feed him only high protein, pure meet cat cans, we had corn litter but now we use Premiere Blue Control from Maxi Zoo and its fine)
- beef
- pork
- kangaroo
- calf
- goose
- venison
- boar
- wild birds
- salmon
- tuna
- horse
- chicken
So now I feed him turkey, and we have only lamb on hand if turkey fail us.
Now he is eating Select Gold Pure, but we tried Ferringa, MAC's, GranataPet, GRAU...

For fungus we bath in anti-fungal shampoo twice a week, and vaccinated ( for now) 2 doses of Biocan M.

For itching our vet prescribe
- Apoquel 3,6 mg ( we dose 2,7 mg per day) and its our constant for now.
- for 2 weeks Chaos was taking Prednisolonum in Encortolon 5 mg. To calm his symptoms.

For streptococus felis he is taking
- Clavubactin 12,5 mg, two times per day.
For prebiotic sheld
- Vet Flora Balance- 1 capsule per day
We are on week 2 , two more to go..

On the bald spot we use
- Ribes Pet Ultra emulsion with ceramides.

And thats it for now. Allergy and streptocosus seems to be under control . I will post photos of before and after down below ( the floral one is from today) . My biggest concern for now is the bald patch.. Nobody have an idea what it is :(
And i really trie my best.

Oh and we have our glorious WP moment! But becouse of lack in Omegas 3 and 6 you need to suplement it and... Chaos is allergic to every omega source we tried. Fish oil, omega oil, salmon oil, krill... So now WP is like snack- ther was non of allergy reaction after eating and for a moment i was thinking YES! thaht is it! We found our food and its bioloically ideal! But no..
And its the same for skin function omega is nessesary and he can't eat it..

Aww bless your kitty, his skin looks so painful! Binky my cat has allergies and they are now under control with medication and food and she recently just stoped taking steriods!
Binky takes 02.3ml atopica daily and a half a tablet of cerenia which is a travel tablet but helps with itchy skin, she previously took a steroid on top of this then when her skin healed it got slowly reduced! She eats specific dry food which is good allergen management, it is hydrolysed salmon and rice this means that it cuts the proteins molecules cut into very small pieces making them too small to trigger a reaction!

I’ve attached some pics of what her skin used be like!

Hello! I am a stranger to this community as I have not actively engages but I can agree in the fact that I have too looked and gotten amazing kitty advice through these forums. The reason why I found myself here again is from some skin issues my nudie and I have gotten into. I am too a new mommy, a worried mommy.

Vladimir is his name (I’ll attach a couple pics). He also had a rough patch in his first year of life, and being a beginner to the world of sphynxes... I have been scared to hell!!

I can explain my journey as well but I just want to say that I am so sorry you are and have been going through this. It is hard not being able to communicate with them and have to guess (and sometimes obsess) over their health. Please let us know how Chaos is doing!! what a beautiful kitty!!! And great English! i Wish I could help or at least had an idea... my first guess would have been perhaps an allergy but if you have that under control...

I send hugs for both of you!

Thank You for the warm words, ideas and your time . Binky's skin looked terrible, poor baby :( but congratulation on your fantastic care and improvement, your naked friend is lucky to have you!

We tried dry food for allergic cats- Hills Z/D and RC Analergenic - sadly the results was dramatics. Chaos swollen eye picture was taken after he eats Hills.. And I have this idea in my mind that i want him to eat only wet food with high meat contaiment, we are going to try raw after dietetic consultation next month.
And I will ask our weterinarian about Atopica, I read about it and it looked promissing but I hear about it for the first time maybe we can get this in Poland or buy it online.

We are sending good vibes and belly rubs!

Yeah you can buy atopica online, it’s half the price online just need a prescription from the vet n upload it! I use pet prescription uk! Bless that’s good your trying to feed raw, I hope that works. Yeah we are slowly getting there. The thing with atopica is, it stimulates hair growth, so Binky has hairs and fuzz now which just makes her even more beautiful! Sending you love n hugs from Scotland! Keep us updated as I know sometimes you feel lost! {=

Bioresonanse is alternative treatmrnt i wan to try with him. We have a alergologist/dermatologist/veterinarian in Warsaw who use this method. I don't really know how it works but i readed is about electromagnetic waves in substances and bodies. When the waves are not in sync it's where diseases come from. So we will try to sync Chaos waves with his potential allergens, patogens etc. Or something like that.. We need to take with us some samples of what he eats, what litter we use, some dirt from our apartment.... Its witchcraft for me, but i'm desperate and frustrated.

Yesterday we take some blood tests and everything is fine internally, skin is some day better, som day worse.. Bald patch seems to be more gray than pink these days but we still dont know what is this. Maybe it will be solwed tomorrow. We will see.

Thank you all for your support! It's important to us!

I will post link about bioresonance use in veterinary

Hello! We are after our first session with bioresonance so i wanted to quickly update what's going on.
- The first session wasn't about treatment- it was like searching session. The veterinarian check over 100 allergens ( for blood test it was only like 15-20 allergens). She checked our loundry powder ( wrong) our litter ( wrong) our canned wet food ( wrong), our dirt ( its ok, thank God) and like milion of tiny samples she have, like different kinds of meat ( Chaos can eat like 5 kinds according to bioresonance), wegetables, fruits, grains ( all wrong), food chemistry ( all wrong), household chemistry ( some wrong), fabrics, all kind of matterials ( latex, silicone, plastick, metal).
What we do now:
- We have a long, long, long list of things to avoid.
- Chaos can't eat any processed cat food that we tried ( like caned food, sashetes etc)- becouse of food chemistry, conservants, colorants and so on and on. We are searching new food to try. I buyed like 14 different kinds and brands on-line just to make samples, we will be checking on our visit.
- He can eat raw meat of lamb, rabbit, goose, turkey, duck so we are on raw non suplemented diet right now, so i search every market to buy some from his list.( its hard for me, i'm vegan and never have to prepeare raw met- sometimes from whole animal, but i trie for him) And he is happly eating all of it.
- We changed our litter to Cats Best- any other kind was a no, no. Silicone, betonite, corn...
- We searching new loundry detergents ( again i ordered like 30 different kinds for samples- and we will see. and then all my familly member will have a loundry set Choas is allergic to in form of gift. Becouse what I will do with 30 sets of different washing powders my cat is allergic to? I will give it away for Christmas! :D )
- We will check all the BARF diet supplement- if hi is allergic to food chemistry we will go raw, but raw need to be suplemented! So we need to check this too. If he is allergic to taurine, wit e, omega oils or any other that will be a big problem. We don't need any other healt problems in case of diet difficence. He can't live on raw, pure meat all his life. Taurine if vital for him. ( For short period of time- ok, but we need pernament solution)
- I need to learn how to read packages and ingreedients list. I quickly learn that eggs ( wrong) can be everywhere in form of egg whites, egg yolk or egg shells, and he can't have that. It's the same with yeast.. There is so much hidden in our cat's food... So I read, read and read for last two days, and choosing carefully.

Our bald patch is staring to got thicker I guess. I see the difference. The grey skin with small hairs is starting to grow back on the outlines. Center is pink and thin but i see some improovment. And I think it's after I decided to try spot-on liquid with cholesterole and ceramides. I found Allederm on-line and gave it a try. I give it directly on bald patch- half of pipete bottle, and massage then the other half i just massage to rest of his body. Its 4 times per month and next one time a month treatment series ( 6 little bottles in box). After Ribbes Pet emulsion Chaos was coughing, so i stoped using it. The veterinarian /dermatologist/ bioresonanse expert said our patch can be post steroid iniection reaction. Post steroid skin thinning. But he never ( with my permision, but once he have iniection that is nowhere notted, and i remember clearly he have 2 inniection that day, and i fera that our previous dermatologist just gave him steroid whitout my permission) heve a steroid iniection. I really fear steroid and its like my last choice- my sweet Beagle girl Triada, passed away for post steroids leukemia in age of 12.

For now his skin is less red, he scratch less- but we don't know how to feed him properly in this situation. It will be long process but I see light at the end of tunel. I was thinking bioresonanse is witchcraft, but i'm less sceptic now. Not entairly sure and in love but less sceptic.

I notticed I allways write "we", " we", "we". But its only me and him- we :D so I'm crazy about his healt and wellbeing. WE will write with updates soon! Thank you for all positive wibes! ( electromagnetics compatibile i hope :0). And once again- sorry for my english.

Aww I love your interpretation of English! There aren’t many mistakes and those that are there are kinda sweet. Plus, the whole point is communication, and I understood everything you wrote regardless, so to me the target was met.

Also, how brave of you to be vegan and handle the raw meat for your baby’s sake. I know that has to be difficult for you.
