Skin irritation, lesions?

Hi all! I’m new to the forum :)
I have a 7 month old male sphynx named Ziggy, we rescued from Ukraine a few months ago!
This past week or so we started noticing little scabby pimples or lesions showing up around his neck. It started with just one and i’ve been monitoring it, but then i just discovered 3 more this morning.
My mother also has an older sphynx cat named Harry and he started to get these same lesions around the age of 7 months as well. It’s gotten very bad and Harry had to be put on prednisone for treatment, which made it slightly better but not fully.
I’m a bit concerned over the coincidence since Ziggy and Harry are not from the same breeder and we live on opposite sides of the country so it’s not like they interact.
We wash everything from our clothes and his clothes/blankets with scent-free and sensitive baby safe laundry powder and stick to using vinegar and baking soda to clean the areas of our apartment that he has access to.
His diet is seafood dominant. His kibble is the “Nulo limited ingredient diet, cod recipe” and his wet food is “applaws tuna fillet and seaweed”. We keep him away from anything with chicken and chicken by-products just to be safe from any fillers that could irritate him.
I’m really just wondering if this is more common than i thought and if anyone would have any leads on what to use to treat them? I’ll attach some photos for reference!!
Thank you in advance :)

My first guess is allergies. Cats develop allergies to things at any time which can be frustrating. Maybe getting allergy testing done will help or trying limited ingredient food. Any changes in detergent etc?
