I'm going skydiving tomorrow for the first time. Just for fun to see what its like. I'm going with my stepdad- my boyfriend wants no part of it- haha.

Has anyone ever been that wants to share their experience?

Hi,
i never went skydiving... i am so afraid of heights.

but i did go for "moral support" with my fiance and a few other friends when they went. my fiance and my brother were fine for the free falling but as soon as they pulled the parachute they got so sick!!! my best friend nicole went with them and she had a blast. she got a video of it and it is so funny!!! how high are you jumping from? they jumped from 13,000 ft. im sure you will have a blast... let us know how it goes!!!

I have never done it but my sister did.
She has a video of it also.
She loved sky diving and wants to go again.

I went for my birthday. It was a friend of mine's birthday freakout so I thought I would have one too  Funny thing is I'm deathly afraid of heights..so bad I can't even get on a step stool. My friend was so sure I would back out and I was the one that had more fun then her  When we landed....and yes I was on my butt I was laughing so hard and yelling I wanna go again!!! The video is so funny  The funny thing is the guy I was strapped to is also deathly afraid of heights but he put everything in perspective for me. When you are on a ladder or something high you look down and whether your aware of it or not your mind is calculating everything your gonna hit and how much it's going to hurt. When your up there and they open the door all you see is sky and clouds so there is nothing to hurt you. That and you look at the plane your in and you wonder which is safer...jumping or the ratty old plane  It is like nothing you will ever be able to truly understand how you feel unless you do it. Your heart just feels totally free and even to this day just thinking about it my heart feels so light. If I'm having a really bad day and just don't think I can take it any longer all I do is pop in my dvd of my jump and I feel like nothing can touch me. I plan on getting certified to jump solo but I still have three more jumps before that happens. When you go in for the training they are going to teach you how to position your arms and legs...I call it the pringle chip move. Basically when you jump you get in your pringle chip and you are gliding. If you remember don't go in it right away. This will allow you to do the upside down curls and then get in the move. It was a the best mistake I made was forgetting that move, because my friend didn't get any loops. Her jump just wasn't as good. Maybe because we went into with different frame of minds. In my movie I talk about wanting the rush. Her line "to not land with a thud". Well she didn't but she doesn't get all happy about it like I do either. Just have fun with it and tell your boyfriends he's a wuss!

I've never done it, but EVERYONE I've ever talked to that has says it was the best thing they ever did! I've never heard anyone go skydiving and then regret it afterwards!

I did do the indoor skydiving. That was fun, but I bet it was no comparison to the real thing!

I'm afraid of heights too! People ask me that when I told them I'm going and I say yes I'm afraid of heights but for some reason I don't think of skydiving the same way. I know for sure I will be nervous tomorrow before I do it but at the same time I'm excited.

Thanks for sharing the pics those are so cool!

I know its one of those things that I want to do to try it and to say I've done it. Whether I do it again or not I'm not sure yet. :Dizzy::Wink:

I know for me I wasn't scared or nervous going there. They put us in a room to watch a video and I had my head between my legs praying to all the gods I had known or heard about it that I would be ok. Then when I was strapped in and about to walk into the plane I was calmer then I had ever been in my life. You are going to have a blast!! I'm so jealous your going...makes my trip to new york this weekend look like nothing. If there is one tip I can offer you. Pay to buy the movie it is totally worth it.

It looks very cool I would do it ( I think) the older I get the more things seem to bother me. As long as I don't spin I think I would be ok.
