Snuggle Safe *warning* HOT

I recently bought the snuggle safe to wrap in the throw blanket for my sphynx.
Tonight I heated it as directed as usual and tried it myself for my sore back.

Yikes! It is HOT!

I put it behind my back while I sat in the livingroom chair .
It was unbearably HOT ! I could not lean against it even with a layer of clothing.
This was after it sat out for 20 minutes.

***Please please be extremely cautious using this product with your sphynx.
I can't imagine ever using this in a confined carrier where they couldn't get off this HOT disc

I agree they get very hot and always covered with a pillowcase or blanket.

I love mine, but totally agree (and glad you made this post) that it's important to verify (despite instructions) how hot these get with YOUR microwave. Recognize that changing microwaves or using a different one will change the time it takes.

And totally, these should not be lain on directly, but put under other blankets.

@meandmytwo , they really like it - so much I have to wrap it several times in their fleece throw
Because they lay right on top of it of the little disc

I have the K&H heated cat bed too -
Toby loves it - won't share lol
but the hood is a waste because he flattens it -
I put his fleece throw over it and he goes in and snuggles -
I don't leave it plugged in when I leave
I wish it had a thumb roll off /on switch on the cord like a heat pad
It does get the comforter warm under it when it put it on my bed

Let me know your snuggle safe review when it arrives
I am probably going to get another

I have one that I used on a sore muscle once and yes it's HOT HOT HOT! So I made an extra little case to go over it so it's not as hot. With a few good layers it should be just right for your baby!

Good reminder.
I got one back in January. We haven't even tried it yet! So many other things going on in their first year of life. Keeping warm is a priority of course, but we're not having a problem doing so.

Im all about the K & H heated beds, we now have four.

2 of the pods and then 2 regular beds.

I have to assume that both Pete and Phil would try to probably chew on the snuggle safe at one point or another when it got chilly but the beds work just fine! Although sometimes I swear the boys have nicer things than me!!!! But hey they deserve it!

@Maddie we have these too. It is not a fire hazard as they are not electrical. I cover them with a pillow case to avoid burns...they are great for her, but a bit hard for my liking.
