Hey everyone! We all know that sphynx's are unique and have very unique issues, so I am very glad to have found this site. 
I have had 2 Sphnyx's. The first one was Yum, believe it or not her human mom put her up for adoption when she was about 6 years old, she did not want her anymore. (Everyone always says that this is just awful, however it was lucky for ME, and Yum's mom did a great job with her)!!! I had Yum for 7 years and she died last August of natural causes. Of course, it was sad, but I am a very realistic person and was very happy to have had the opportunity to have Yum as my friend! Her death was as good as I could have imagined (meaning that she was not in pain or suffering, and we spent some nice time together before I had her put down, lots of cuddles! I buried her in a very nice place and had 2 good friends there with me that loved her). The good that came out of Yum's death is that I had ALWAYS wanted a sphynx kitten!!!! YOU know how it is! 
They are gorgeous little creatures. I loved Yum so much but did not know her as a kitten and did not get to watch her grow up. So, the night before I put Yum to sleep, I finally had the courage to look online and try to figure out how in the world I could find another sphynx. Yum was resting nicely with me on the couch as I surfed online, and I was so lucky to find a breeder that was only one hour away from me AND SHE HAD ONE LITTLE GIRL THAT WAS NOT SPOKEN FOR YET!! I rushed the next morning to see her. I was thrilled with the breeder and put a deposit down immediately! So, now I have my little Maisy! (formal name Maisy May Smith!) Of course she was a gorgeous kitten, aren't they all?! She is 8 months now and is perfectly stink a licious!!! Frisky, greasy, feisty, stinky, and loving!
I look forward to conversing with you all in the future, and would like to thank the admin or creator of this site for all of your hard work. It is a wonderful resource. I already made a donation, and hope everyone else does too. We should always give back, even if it is just a little bit.
