I was looking at my local craigslist to see if there was any news ads for sphynx.... this is what I found! most of it didnt really bother me till I saw the declawing and the remark behind it! "I have been looking for quite a while for a sphynx cat or kitten to adopt. Although it is an awesome breed, I refuse to pay $1000.00 to a breeder for one. Adoption websites do not have any, the closest one I could find for adoption was a $600 adoption fee and was in Michigan. I have been a veterinary technician for four years and know about their genetic issues, as well as high maintenance care. If you know of anyone that is needing to rehome their baby, or breeds them and has a 'non sellable' baby, I would love to adopt! Age, sex, and color are not factors although I would definitely want to meet the kitty first. (Hoping to find one possibly already fixed, vaccinated, and declawed-which is typical for this breed due to them scratching their skin... just to insure they are and have been healthy, but if they are not it is fine). Thank you."
