Hi everyone!
So I'm love my new lil guy Bartholomew. The first couple of days he was great really relaxed and seemed great one night he really freaked out running pouncing skittish attacking everything going super crazy. I didn't know (I'm sure it might be) if this was normal for kittens or if he's scared. He's had two crazy nights the rest were spent cuddled right next to me asleep until morning.

Also I was wondering if anyone had advise on fast clean up after he uses the litter box. He doesn't having really runny poop I'd say it's normal but he always seems to get into it a lil. I started giving him some pumkin to see if it might help im scared that his poops will be too firm is that possible? For cleanup i first used a wash cloth but that ended up being a lot of wash clothes. I started rinsing him and he hates that. Is there a good wipe that's disposable that would work for him just for small clean up?

It's so hard not to worry that you're doing something wrong ha.

Thanks for all your guys help already!

@Taylor2tone : Falling in love with a sphynx means the worries about your baby and doing something wrong starts:wideyed:. We all know the feeling.

So Bartholomew is having his maniac moments. Pretty normal, my boys have them now and then. They run around like crazy, jump on everything and pretend all kind of things in the house are their enemie:rolleyes:. So if he seems happy doung it then it's okay. If you think he's afraid (hissing and more hiding then running) then it's a different story of course.

The famous poop feet and poop tails:smuggrin:. If you search on sphynxlair you'll find a lot of threads about kittens standing in their own poop, dragging it out of the litter, leaving poop prints:D. I think there are not many kittens who didn't make up a mess of their poop. But adding pumpkin is a good idea. It firms up the poop quickly. I don't know if the poop can get to firm from pumpkin only. Hopefully others will chime in on this.

My boys hate bathing to. For in between baths I use wash clothes with a drop of shampoo or baby wipes (I make them wet). I use coconut oil (warmed up) before bathing. It helps to get the dirt of quick. But it also attracks dirt so you have to make sure to rinse it very well.
I know a lot of people here use Hylyt shampoo. It seems to work great so maybe you can try?

@Taylor2tone , Bartholomew sounds like the rest of the zoomie Sphynx here :) when they go go go then they nap nap nap ;)

Was he vet checked , poo sample check , at vet when you got him? It's good to get a head to bun check as a good baseline- you can ask vet how much to drop off a poo sample to check to be sure all is good :)

Some are sensitive to certain foods and proteins or too much wet food as I found here- what is he eating - canned and dry? Lots of times it's trial to see what works for your Sphynx.

I also scoop litter box all the time for less poo tracking- amazing how their feet and tails are like poo radar!
It seems poo feet n tail lessens with age :)

I keep huggies natural baby wipes near the box for poo feet n tail cleaning- yo can wet a little more too
There are mostly water flushable wipes too (but was told they really should not be flushed if you have a septic system)

Funny thing with canned 100 % pure pumpkin, I read it works for both types of poo issues- loose or too firm
And have never seen too firm overly reported with Sphynx :)

So glad you are actively posting and enjoying the forums!

Looking forward to pics of Bartholomew! Love his name!

I really like the soap free hypoallergenic Hylyt shampoo
I ad a couple of drops in a pitcher of water for in between wipe downs

@LokisMom , I was told "anti icky poo unscented " is great to have on hand and really works. Safe for pets and used for all kinds of stuff :)
Anti Icky Poo Quarts

I ordered some to wash dog beds , etc

It's so true with the zoomies. Piper will go go go tearing through the house attacking our hands and toes and stalking booey and you can't hold her and then she comes for cuddles and passes out in your hands purring :)

I've been scooping the litter box at least 3 times a day and it does help.

BartholoMEW is so precious. More pics, more!!!!

As for poopy butt, I will use the Huggies Natural Care, moistened with warm water.
