Haha, I don't really mind.. I kinda think it's funny. I just don't understand how none of my friends see how adorable he is! My boyfriend has come the closest to being on board with "yeah... they kind of grow on you." Haha thank goodness there's a forum here with people who appreciate the sphynx!!

I've had some funny comments about Zoe on fb ....but I tell ya she really helped get me through some very tough times this last little bit. So when a girl wrote a comment that "that is @#$*#^scary" I had to write her back to let her know that I wouldn't write that about her beloved family pet....{ I thought it was rude}

I get the "she's so ugly she's cute" a lot. I did ask my grandfather last week if he seriously knew that Sophie is NOT a chihuahua and he said he knows. I had to make sure!

Mug-Y has his own FB page and gets some negative comments, but mostly nice ones...he has over 60 friends now bless him!!!

I have a FB page for my business and I post pictures of happy customers (pets) I posted a picture of my Sphynx and this lady said "no offense Laura but that cat is just homely" and then another person sent me a picture of their cat and said "I had to send a picture to even it out". I am pretty laid back but I found those comments to be pretty rude. I would never tell anyone their pet was ugly. Also when I tell people I just adopted a hairless cat they usually say "aren't they ugly?" I want to say "you're right they are ugly I guess I shouldn't have one - they should all be homeless." Yeeeeeesh sometimes people just don't think before they speak!

I told my buddy at school about my genius idea of acquiring one of these godly creatures, and he laughed at me, real loud. He was at his house, and he googled ugly cats on his computer, which brought up pictures of sphynxes from all the haters. This fed his rampant laughter. Oh well, i'm switching schools next year anyway. And i'm the only friend he's got. joke's on him! ha!

Ive posted this before so those of you that have heard it.......please ignore the repetition......
I get lots of wonderful and mean comments every weekend at the flea market and if people are really mean.....and they mean what they are saying.....I cant hold my tongue. Ive had a few people say to Nofuratu "You are so ugly!!!" and I respond "He thinks you are ugly!"
Another older couple approached him with disdain and the man asked me "How do you keep something so ugly!!??? and I said "I dont know, ask your wife!"


a lot of times people say he's ugly and then look over at me with a guilty face and say...sorry.....thats not nice to say about your baby......and i just smile...Im glad they realise they're being rude!

I makes me MAD!!!! I would never call someones much loved pet ugly..It's RUDE and unkind.. Face book is the worst. I just tell people that I LOVE my cat very much and they are being rude. Most people say "sorry" they did not mean to be.

I know they are not "IT" for everyone, but BE NICE..Your momma would want you to......If you cant say anything nice, don't say anything at ALL....(see can you tell it makes me mad!!!..lol..)

Mind you, these are from only two of the many pictures I have of him. People do change their tune when they meet him, of course, but until then, they either think he's the coolest thing on four legs or scary as all holy hell. I think he's just my sweet baby!

I bring Gilby out and about with me on a leash most of the time in the summer, and I always get:

"OH MY GOD, YOUR CAT DOESN'T HAVE ANY HAIR!!"

...to which I respond, deadpan and completely serious:

"Oh, S*^%..wait....really? He had some a minute ago. That's not good."

I've also posted a couple pictures on facebook, and my favorite comment was "Woa, you're getting real good with photoshop. That's creepy." (I went to school for graphic design)

My favorite will always be the people that genuinely ask me why I've shaved my cat. I'm sure you can imagine the creative responses I come up with for that one.

When I have shown pictures of my sphynx to friends, they mostly react in the same way, by saying they look like gremlins, but once people actually see my sphynx in the flesh then they change there minds, and comment on what big personalities they have, and how adorable they are.
I have 3 sphynx and they are all my babies.

Hopefully will be getting some new additions to my family as one of my girls Micah is pregnant!
