I joined this fantastic forum and then I disappeared!!
I do have a good reason however...
I broke my tibia and fibula, had surgery and spent some time in hospital. Am home now but still immobile and sleeping on the sofa. Been feeling very down mainly due to my so called friends not even contacting me but I have decided to pull myself together and try and get on with things....

Still not on my feet but have started physio now so hopefully things will start improving.
Still not heard from my "best friends" (of over 30 years!). It is very much a case of if I don't call them then they don't bother calling me. It has taken something bad to happen for me to really see things for how they are. I did ring them daily and have always been there for them. Pity they don't seem to feel the same way about me. They always said I was the only person who was ever there for them?? Oh well.
Had to cancel my caribbean holiday but am now going there for christmas!!
Faye is doing great. She has been such good company! Will put some more pics on soon:Smile:

Glad to hear you're on the mend....and we are happy to be your friends. Sounds like a nice change for you with the vacation--the Carribean sounds far more fun than the hospital,

Glad you are on the mend. I have some"friends" like that. People always ask whay im so quiet. I don't let myself get close to people anymore.
Any ways, The cruise in December sounds better to me anyways. It will be warm, but not HOT:)

Ouch, sounds like a nasty injury. But try to look at the bright side - now you have time to go to youtube and watch all 88 of Butterball's videos!

I'm so sorry your friends weren't there for you. You can come and talk to us here all you want though.

Not a cruise we are going on (would be nice!!) but still looking forward to it none the less. We are going to Samana in the Dominican Republic:Smile:

Off to see my surgeon tomorrow and to have another X-Ray. I am sure it will be fine.

Welcome back. Broken bones is always a downer. Sorry to hear about your "friends" but I think we all have one or two that are like that. I know I do. Life goes on...hope you mend quickly and start feeling better. Great photos!!!

Sirry to hear about you injury. I was playing hockey sunday and a girl on my team broke her leg as well, same as yous. It is below the knee and she just went through surgery yesterday.

Have fun on your vacation and don't let those so called friends bring you down. :Angry:

I have had some bad news today. I went and saw my surgeon and had an x-ray and it doesn't look much better than it did 8 weeks ago. My recovery time was estimated at 3 months. Now they are saying 9 months. The bones don't look like they have knitted together at all!!. I came home and cried!:Cry:
The only good news is I can still have my holiday as long as I do NOTHING!! but that was the plan to be honest.
