Hello all,

Delilah will be getting spayed tomorrow and I’m a nervous wreck. The vet will be using profonol No Kedimine and I bought her a soft purple flower collar to wear. She uses wee wee pads in her litter box. I think I’m covered with everything. Poor lil sweets!!! Here are some new pics of her and the boys!!

@CMuniz sending positive vibes for her spay tomorrow ...
kudos for no Ketamine ...
I bring a blanket just in case they need one for the recovery cage ...
I always confirm during drop off if it’s an abdominal incision vs a flank incision .
If you are going to microchip , during spay is a good time ..

I know it’s nerve wrecking no matter how much we prepare ..

Here for you and following closely for updates a, surely she will be getting lots of loving and extra snuggles when she comes home .

Hugs n head smooches to all paws ! adorable pics!

My vet used propofol and Isoflurane and mine have done great with it .

Positve vibes !

@Yoda mom thanks for reminding about the incision. When she went for her bloodwork on Saturday I had them go through all the details but forgot about asking where the incision would be. She’s already microchipped. Thanks for the advice {}

Hi All,
Delilah did great with her spay. She was a little groggy from anesthesia last night and barely slept, but she ate and drank tons of water throughout the night. My daughter had to Delilah proof her bedroom since she tries to jump on the bed so she slept with her on the floor. Poor lil sweets! She purred all night and is still purring. Thank you for all the prayers head rubs and hugs. You all are the best!! )()( The hard part is over now comes the healing. I’ve attached a pic of her with her flower. It was taken as soon as she came home, you can see she was still a lil out of it.

@Yoda mom Delilah is doing good. The flower cone is working well. She learned how to eat and drink with it on. When she tries look she has to turn her whole head around since it’s not a clear cone. She’s looks so cute but I feel so sorry for her since I know it annoying her and she is tolerating it. {}

, @Yoda mom I’m freaking out!! Delilah started to develop these red blotches all over her. They are on her face, her tail, under chin and some on her legs. I took her cone off today thinking it might be an allergic reaction but then I noticed the blotches in other places. Do you think it could be Urticaria pigmentosa? : (

@CMuniz ,awhhh
Please don’t panic ... we can’t diagnosis but can share our thoughts to share with your vet . being the only thing that changed was using the cone , it very well could be an allergic reaction . I would contact your vet and share and follow their suggestions .

Do not apply anything that she could lick off that could be toxic .
Many of us keep on hand Vetericyn spray . I wet a a cotton round and dab on skin .

Is she licking at it at all?

It could be a combo of the cone and shirt ? Would be my first thought

How’s Delilah’s spay incision ?. hopefully on the mend .
My girl had no cone or clothes after her spay and did okay .. just had to redirect her the first day or two when she was looking at her tummy incision

Following closely for updates

(((Hugs))

@Yoda mom no she’s not licking it. Yes, her incision is getting better. I hoping it starts to clear up now that I have the cone off. Thanks
