Hello again! I recently reached out in desperation to get my baby on a better diet to help with his dry and scaly tail and overall health! Based on the recommendations I received and the research I’ve done, I want to make a final post with confirmation.

I am definitely leaning towards buying the wellness canned food, but as for dry I can not decide between the wellness and the nutrisource to pair with the canned. I’ve heard great things about both options, but I am simply indecisive lol…

Does anyone have opinions on either of these brands? (Dry option specifically) and would this be a good diet to start him on? :)

As for his shampoo, I was recommended these two options:

I was definitely looking into the second photo, but I can not for the life of me find where to buy it online. I found the website that gives a description of the product, but no purchasing option anywhere. If there is a link to that, I would LOVE to check it out!

I did also find this option on my own while searching around, does anyone have opinions on this brand of kitty shampoo?:

Thank you all again for helping me, I am beyond grateful and have soaked up all the information provided in my last post like a sponge! ❤️

It’s great you are really researching and looking for the best quality of life for your baby. Often even the best choices don’t mean they will tolerate food choices which is such a pain. be sure to get the smallest bags possible when buying just in case you need to mine change. If you are trying to go grain free completely then you should go with Wellness of the 2. If poops are too wet, it might be to rich and then try the other and stay with the Wellness wet to see if it is a balance that works.

I’m honestly expecting some nasty poops while slowly transitioning. Do you know about how long I should wait to see improvement after switching his diet just in case? Like if he has nasty poops for a week (hypothetical time frame) should I try something else or wait it out longer to see if it firms up?

As for going completely grain free, I honestly don’t know much positive or negative either way so I’m not looking to go completely grain in or grain free unless recommended otherwise. ❤️

hello again! I just wanted to do a small update on what I ended up choosing in case anyone views this post in the future! I will also do an update on how the little guy handles all of his new stuff after some weeks. :)

I ended up going with these two options for his diet:

And after doing a lot of research, I chose this for his bath soap:

It was definitely a toss up between this shampoo and earthbath oatmeal and aloe. I saw much better reviews on this one, however, if it does not do well with his skin, I’m definitely going to give earthbath a shot next!

I was also looking into those! He is relatively still during his baths so there’s no worry of needing to hold him still atleast! (Phew!) he just likes to verbally complain the whole time and get his big brother all riled up outside the door haha!!
Right now I am using a cut up baby blanket as his wash cloth since it is soft on his skin, our wash cloths are a bit rougher and that is all I had at the time as an alternative! After reading many things on bathing, exfoliating gloves are definitely on my shopping list! :)
