It has been a busy few weeks here on my end. My husband and I have been involved in a fairly big home renovation project involving moving a wall and closets in between our master bedroom and our 12 year old's room. But I wanted to give you an update on my Sphynx quest since my last post:

I have found a breeder to work with that I trust and have the upmost repect for. She knows I am committed to exploring volunteer work in pet assisted therapy with my next Sphynx, and has a great handle on what I'm looking for in regards to temperment and personality.
Originally we spoke about her considering placing a retiree with me in the next year or so, but a couple of weeks ago our discussuions have turned to adopting a kitten. She had a few litters born in the spring and although most of the kittens were placed right away, she was holding onto 3 or 4 to have evaluated for showing. She only plans to show one so the others will be available in the near future. During the last few weeks she has been able to closely evaluate their personalities and sees a couple who have great potential as pet assisted therapy cats. My chances are very good that I may have a new Sphynx to love by the end of the summer. I can hardly believe it. Now that the construction is done and I have a bedroom that is safe and secure enough to bring home a new addition, I'm getting very excited. It makes the last three weeks of grueling work in the heat and humidity worth it.
