I have a 1 and a half year old dwelf cat. She is a mix of Sphynx, American curl, and munchkin. She has had chronic diarrhea the whole time. She is completely healthy otherwise. Blood and fecal pcr tests have been done. With not much coming back. Just want a specialist opinion.

Not sure what you are feeding them…chicken seems to be a main protein that some have issues with. What is the main protein in what you are feeding them?

@rvLucy , glad you did PCR and blood work. did they also check a fresh stool sample? my vet will let me drop off to test for about $15.
some vets will treat for giardia in case a false .
are you in contact with breeder who may know specialist?
does your regular vet have a specialist they refer to? My regular vet referred me to a specialists that deals with eye, skin etc.

let us know what you are feeding? ass mentioned sometimes chicken a culprit. sharing, mine could not handle too high of a protein like orijen and acana did not work for them either. switched food , took several weeks , up to 12 weeks, for the food trial

Yes, they did check a fresh stool sample. Northwest naturals is a raw food I am trying for her. She was on science diet to begin with, that didn't help; so I switched her to purina sensitive skin and stomach. That didn't work either.

hugs n head smooches. all paws crossed the food helps. I personally have done several food trials with mine, and took Macie 12 weeks to see results finally

@rvLucy , checking in for updates. to answer your question my IBD kitty and my nakids do great on nutrisource cat and kitten food (blue bag). no recalls. touted for gut and heart health. been feeding for many years. solid poos and no skin issues. ages now turning 11, 12, 13, 13 1/2, and an 18 yr old black cat.

hugs n head smooches, keep us updated. all paws are family.
