sphynxless in new york

Hey, I've been thinking about adding a sphynx to the family in the distant future. I currently work at an animal shelter and in the year+ I've been there I've never seen any sphynx come in, which I suppose is a good thing.

When I do bring the little bug home he or she would be joining a rottie/shar-pei/whatever mix and two domestic shorthairs. I'm looking to get the new cat as a graduation present of sorts after finishing up massage school next December. So still a far way off.

I'm basically just here to find out more about the sphynx and try to get some questions about them answered.

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited about this. Right now I'm leaning more towards getting a kitten from a breeder, which is going to be something entirely new for me. I've always gone with rescues and strays, I'm looking forward to my search for a breeder though.
