We adopted a 2 yr old. His owner said he never urinated outside his liter box with her, so it seemed a new home, sharing our home with our dog, all lead to it. We got him neutered. The spraying did not stop immediately. It took about a month after neutering for him to mostly stop, and then he would on a rare occasion, until it eventually stopped all together. You must use a special spray on anything he urinates on or he will continue to repeat in the same area. We used icky poo. You wipe down the spot with no cleaner, then spray the icky poo and let dry. We repeated spraying/letting dry the area several times as it seemed that is what was needed to eliminate the smell completely.
