We recently had to get a new roof. The roofer missed one small piece of facia (sp?) board and we had a squirrel move into our attic. Our son was over Friday evening and had an extension ladder. He boarded up the hole. Saturday we woke up to a very pi_____ed off squirrel. It would sit on our roof and shriek at my husband everytime he went outside. My husband being the softie he is worried that the squirrel was a "she" and had babies in our attic. Since we don't have an extension ladder, he backed his truck in and put a regular ladder in the bed and I held onto the ladder to keep it from coming out of the truck bed. (At this point our neighbors already think we are nuts, so what the heck) He got the piece of wood off and listened for babies (of course we have NO IDEA IF BABY SQUIRRELS EVEN MAKE NOISES). He didin't hear anything so he put the board back in place. Well yesterday he was washing his truck and that little darling squirrel threw the piece of wood at him! I was laughing so hard I almost peeed my pants. Squirrel = 1 , humans =0. We have decided to leave the wood off- we are probably going to have to replace wiring that the little rodent tears up, but hey, a baby is a baby!
