Stormy is back home, and I've had my first proper ride on him today.
Granted, we just poodled around in the arena at the trainer's, but still... I RODE STORMY!!
(And good grief, I need to shed about 20kg!)
Oz, when he saw Stormy, stood on the track, completely dumbstruck.
I swear, he just stood there, staring, frozen to the spot, with a "Is it..? IS IT??? But...they NEVER come back!"
It honestly took Stormy walking over to him to unfreeze him lol.
Both Oz and Timmy are glued to him atm. :)

How great is that? Stormy looks like he’s had a saddle on for years. Congratulations to him and you! And Timmy and Oz!

We went out for about 45 minutes this morning before it got too hot.
He did quite well until we came past a lot of horses who were turned out in the paddocks, where he got a bit excited. I got off and walked him a short distance until he was a bit more chilled again, then got on and rode the rest of the way home. :)

Another nice ride this evening. Not long, not past any horses, but he seemed to really enjoy it, and so did I.
It's still a bit daunting to be out on him, especially considering that I'm riding him in a rope collar. No bit, no nothing. Basically just a bit of string. On a stallion.
The real test will be meeting another horse along the way...and keeping him under control.
