Today is 9 years since I lost my Stripe to CRF.
We found a bunch of feral kittens in 1989 and I tamed Stripe and kept her.
At age 4 I found a lumpin her brest and it had cancer cells in it.
The vet removed her breast and all the tissue around it and she was ok after that.
In Nov 1998 I found out she had ARF and severe anemia at the er vet.
She was saved with a few blood transfusions.
We though she was ok after that.
When she was 1o we found out she had CRF.
The vet gave her a year to live.
On Sept 26th 2000 my family found her on the floor and she wa not able to move at all.
She could flick her tail only.
Just after midnight Sept 27th 2000 the er vet called and said she should be pts.
I said give me alittle time and my bf will call back.
She was pts between 12:15 and 12:20 am.
I never said goodbye and do not now if I dd the right thing because I have heard of other cats getting better after being like that.
She was 11.
She was not a sphynx.
Here is a poem I wrote in her memory.
