I tried this, but when I open DCIM etc, nothing there so not recognizing.. .trying to get pics of me and Sam together

Transferring Photos and Videos to a Mac
  1. Tap Connected as a media device.
  2. Tap Camera (PTP)
  3. On your Mac, open Android File Transfer.
  4. Open the DCIM folder.
  5. Open the Camera folder.
  6. Select the photos and videos you wish to transfer.
  7. Drag the files into the desired folder on your Mac.
  8. Detach the USB cable from your phone.

Wish I could help but I have no idea how to use an Android. I would think once you connect the phone to the Macbook that a media file would open automatically to upload stuff to the computer. Hope someone techy knows better
