But only very brief ones, cause Frida does NOT like the feeling of grass in her toes.
So Frida and I moved into my boyfriends house last year in the fall. He has a big yard that is very enclosed so it is relatively safe for Frida to explore off leash if I’m with her. We have never had a yard before so it is something I have been nervous/excited about. After so much (for where I live) snow we have been pleasantly surprised by some unseasonably warm weather. Like, I actually went to the beach yesterday and sunbathed. It is beach weather in western Canada people! Woo!
Anyhow, this also means Frida wants out again. She is a bit of a prissy apartment cat, and I knew she didn’t like the cold, but I didn’t realize how prissy she was until I let her off leash.
Frida sees freedom completely untethered for the first time.
This is how she walks
Notice how she stretches as far out as possible to avoid as much grass contact as she can.
Is this what everyone has been going on about she asks? Max was definitely wrong about the outdoors!
Back to my sun spot on the comfortable deck
