Hiya! I thought I'd post here since this site has been soo helpful. Whenever I have a question I trawl the threads.
Anyway, just before new years my Rizzo started getting what looked like hives on her chest area. She has had a few spots here and there on her back but it got worse. Pics of the "hives" attached.
Took her to the vet and he said that all it was was that the food I had feeding her was too high in protein and gave me multivitamins(a, d, e and k). I am changing to a different kibble that is not based on chicken.
I was sceptical but it actually worked. Her hives on her chest got red, dried up and cleared up quickly. She still has a few spots but definitely improved. So... I've also started giving her cod liver oil supplements. I did have questions before on whether sphynxes need supplements and I guess my question is answered! Just glad I didn't need antibiotics.lol
