Sushi, Bambino, Needs Forever Home (NV)

I rescued Sushi from a breeder in Mississippi 9/2023. She had never been vaccinated, not spayed and incredibly underweight due to dental issues. Sushi is now spayed, fully vaccinated, no heart issues, FIV negative, front declawed and have gone through two dental extractions. Sushi has stomatitis and is recommend by the Animal Dental Specialists of Nevada to have a full mouth extraction surgery. I was given a quote of close to 5k. I currently have 2 other cats and they are not a fan of Sushi. I’m looking for a forever home for Sushi who is willing to take on her dental issues. I prefer an experienced Sphynx owner with the time to give Sushi all the love and attention she deserves. She gets along great with dogs, cats, kids, and travel great in the car. Sushi is extremely affectionate and loves to be loved on. There isn’t a lap she wouldn’t get in. If you would like to give Sushi a forever home, please email @[email protected]

ps: do you know if the transferable insurance would cover any of the full mouth dental extraction?

Hi! Unfortunately, when we lived in Arkansas (moved to Nevada the end of Dec), the veterinarian I took her to diagnosis her prior to me getting insurance so it’s considered a prior existing condition. That’s totally my bad for not getting her insurance prior to taking her in but she was in rough shape so I rushed her in not even thinking.

@Madeintaiwan, you’re in Nevada, if I’m reading this correctly? Where in NV? I’m in SE Arizona. It would be a drive, but we do have an RV to travel in. My German Shepherd service dog would be with us. Kenzie does get along well cats, though she can get rough. She backs off on command. Her best play buddy is a 1 yo tortie we got last year. We do have two other older cats, but they tend to stay in other parts of our home with our AZ room and kitchen being mostly shared. I’m not an experienced Sphynx owner, but am a very experienced pet person. I volunteered for an animal rescue for several years in Tucson, and was a volunteer here in Sierra Vista for Animal Control through our police department. Of course, we’ve owned our own fur babies.
I’m now semi-bedridden, so doggie and kitty cuddles abound. I’m not sure if we could swing the dental costs, though as we spent thousands last year on our furry babies! If there’s someone closer or with more experience with Sphynx kitties, please put them before me in your consideration.

Yes, I’m in Las Vegas I totally understand not being able to swing the cost. We just moved from Arkansas to Las Vegas in Dec and I rescued Sushi end of August/beginning of Sept. I’ve spent close to 4K. My Donskoy was just diagnosed with asthma in Feb so lol it’s been quiet the Vet adventure since moving.

me too! We just moved from Arkansas at the end of Dec too! I travel back to Arkansas often to visit, If you are super interested in Sushi, I could possibly transport her to you in TN. Just wanted to throw it out there if you are interested Do you mind me asking what part of TN you are in?
