In the SV community, a lot of us like posting Youtube videos because it helps debunk that whole 'exotic' myth. And SVs (if you love the breed) can go from less then a Sphynx kitty to three times the price of a show quality kitty (OR you can pay 20K and get your baby from a kitten miller, but I wouldn't suggest that!).

Sorry for taking this all off topic- anyone else have tats to share???

Gio is his first name... the "Thermal" part was adopted due to the fact that they generate their own heat. I named him Gio after my female Sphynx "Gia" that passed away last year.

Holy moly, I just saw a huge sphynx tattoo from a new facebook friend. It reminded me of this thread so I thought I'd post.

I have a tattoo that incorporates both of my breeds- Sphynx and Savannahs :) I got it last year and I love it. My Mum has one of just the Sphynx, minus the big spotted hairy cat.

Kat Von Dee or however you spell it overcharges for tattoos- if you read up on reviews of her shop, you get the quick impression that you can find better tatto0 artists (or at least, as good) for much less.

I found an artist I liked, paid her to draw my design, and then went to the tattoo shop and had them make flash of it and therefore my tat is an exact replica of the artwork :)

I completely agree and even think that Kat's talent has gone down hill maybe because of the stress of having her own show or shop. I don't know, but there are a ton of amazing artists out there who won't charge as much. You know, Kat has to charge a lot because so many people know of her. Just do your homework, just like you had to do for getting your kitty. You can look through what they've done so far and pick someone who has a style that really suits you.

I'd love to see as many tats as I can! I really love tattoos but have yet to get one. It's in the works in my mind. ^_^ And I am super picky. :Laugh:

Wow, those tattoos are really cool! But, I don't think I'd ever have the guts to get one, I would be terrified! :Woo:

If you have a good artist that understands first-time nerves, there will be nothing to be terrified of!

I only have one tat of a celtic knot in the center of my lower back. I do believe ink in this area is sometimes referred to as a "tramp stamp". LMBO! :LOL: If I get another, I'd like to stick with a celtic styling. Pat Fish has some nice flash in cat themes. I always keep her Mercats (a stylized mermaid/cat concept) and a simple silouhette design she uses in the back of my mind. I just don't know where to put it this time! As others have said...to be young and thin again! :Wink:

Well, I have a pin-up tattoo on the top of my right foot. THAT WAS FUN doing THAT totally sober! lmao. I do want a sphynx tat but I want it to be unique. I like the idea someone had about tattooing the wrinkles of their head on you somewhere... just dont know where. PLUS... we spend a lot of time trying to get rid of wrinkles... why would I have them tattooed ON me? I'm weird.

Back of your shoulder, have the wrinkles tattooed within the lines of a butterfly, so it looks like a butter fly but have the wrinkles inside of it - I think something like that would be cool. You could even add your sphynx eyes into the wings and have the wrinkles tattooed around, I've seen similar things done with tigers eyes on butterflies and its pretty cool. Just a thought.

This is horrible!:Angry::Angry::Angry:

To risk your pets health and maybe even life for a tattoo...deplorable!

(PS...the temp.tattoos are fine...I am not bashing those! lol)
