Just wondering what everyones plans are for Thanksgiving?
We stay home I always do the cooking, I start some stuff the night before. This is usually when we find out that we once again have mice in the house (I dig out the Turkey pan that I have not used since January) and in the back of the cabinet I find little poop:Angry:
That is also how we ended up with our first Sphynx. Not quite the mouse hunter I thought he would be!
Anyway we will have the 4 of us my little brother, sister and her 2 kids, admins grandmother, and my dad. Mom is away in New Orleans for 2 weeks.
Also we watch the Parade on tv in the morning well our daughter and I watch the parade, and the boys complain they want the tv for video games. I swear one of these years I am going to go to the parade and eat out, I just love it the start of the Holiday season!

I finally have off this year, which never happens in the casino industry...So my master plan for that day is to house hoop and hit as many dinners as possible! Only to end the night off by sharing some left overs with my little buddy!

Thanksgiving is a sad time for me.
I lost Patches at the er vet from ARF on Nov 26th 1998 which was Thanksgiving.
My Aunt also died Nov 28th because a Dr killed her.
It was on a Sat just like this year.
I was only 15 at the time but will never forget what happened.
We will stay home this year.
Wrinkles has a TICA show Nov 28th and 29th and we might go to the Sonora Christmas Fair on Nov 27th.

I go to my aunts house every year. I bring a dessert. It is always a fun time.

Unfortunately, we will not all be together this Christmas as my aunt is going to my Uncle's out of state. It is just as well since I will be driving to CT to my stepmothers family for Christmas.

So I will really appreciate Thanksgiving since we will not all be together on Christmas day as we usually are.

Don't you wish there were local "support chapters"? My vet told me they have 3 other sphynx clients...I felt weird asking if I could meet them but I really want to!!!

Mews2much: I'm sorry about the experiences you had on Thanksgiving. :( I hope you have a great Thanksgiving this year and for many years to come!

I always had two Thanksgivings to go to on Thanksgiving Day: My mom's side in the early hours of the day in a center the family use to rent out of town and one on my dad's side in the afternoon. My mom says this is the first year in several decades that her side of the family isn't hosting one. Within the past couple of years, the group got smaller. There have been a couple of deaths and people started going their own way. It's really sad to think this is the first time during my entire life we won't be there.

Instead, we're just having one at my parent's house. My grandparents will be there (mom's parents) and so will a few uncles. Also, my brother and his wife will be there with their daughter. My boyfriend and I will be attending our family gatherings separately since they will be occurring around the same time. OH! And it will be Stella's first Thanksgiving with the family.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I cook for my sister and myself, we eat, rest a few seconds, and then go out and hit the Thanksgiving Day early sales.

We don't have Thanksgiving here in England, so I am already looking forward to Christmas! Especially now that I found out I'm off Christmas day and boxing day. I start my new job on monday so I didn't expect them to give me Christmas day off. Have been lucky!

Won't be doing anything much this year as I'm barely up and walking after catching that damn H1N1 virus  ...

Oh well hopefully I'll be OK for Christmas :)

Oh that stinks! Darn flu! The cases we have seen at the Doctor I work for have all been mild and only last about 4 days! Hope you feel better!
