Thinking of Adopting a Sphynx, any Advice for This Special Breed?

I'm thinking of adopting a sphynx, I've been reading up about the breed, but was wondering if there is any advice for a first time Sphynx owner? Just wanted to note, I am an experienced cat owner, but I know this breed is different.

Is there a difference between the males/females temperament? Do the different colors of the sphynx cats indicate different health concerns?

Please let me know your thoughts !

What are some blatant and obvious signs of fraud or scams have you read about or stumble upon? Have any tips to avoid fishy transactions and deals. I would love to know some pointers, feel free to share.
