Hello! So I just got my baby boy about a week ago. He’s 4 months old and generally healthy, regular pooping, peeing, eating and drinking. The only things that are concerning me is that he started throwing up in the morning as soon as he wakes up. It doesn’t happen everyday but it’s happened about 4 times now. There’s no food in the vomit it’s just yellow-ish and foamy. Like stomach bile. Also his ribs and spine are slightly visible but the vet didn’t say anything about him being underweight, I just don’t know if it’s normal or not for the breed to see his spine like that since I’ve never had a sphynx before. Any help I can get would be amazing, thank you!

Hello, sorry to hear this news. No, this is not normal and you need see a vet asap, if your current vet didn't see anything wrong with him being so thin, please seek another vet. :)

Thank you! Curious, what is the normal weight for a 4 month old Sphynx kitten? At his last vet visit he was 1.3 kg and last Wednesday when he was fixed (by a different vet when he was with the breeder) it was 1.24 kg

Both of my boys at that age weight like 2,1- 2,3 kg
Your boy needs to see a good vet and find out what’s going on. Sorry to hear another little baby is sick :(
Keeping my fingers crossed

Wow! Okay, thank you so much. I’ll look for a new vet that works on exotic cats and bring him in right away ❤️

@BSphynx welcome to sphynxlair. Congratulations with Jeepers. He is very handsome and cute.

Does he have food at night? I ask cause my girl starts to throw up bile when she doesn't have kibbles to nibble on at night. She gets stressed (thinking I might starve her) and that makes her puke.

With a kitten who just got home it's always good to go to the vet for a health check.

Please keep us updated!
