Tobylove ...in the arms of the angels, gained his angel wings today

moments that took my breath away.. Last night ^ Tobylove ^ came to visit. He always slept in his fav blankie at me feet. The heartbeat at my feet I always said to myself.

I woke up to the sound of one piece of kibble drop into "his" dish. I quickly turned to check and Claire Bare was still sleeping on my right arm, and Batman against me on left on the pillow. I looked at my fitbit watch and the time was 4:56 am. like consecutive numbers 4,5,6, (reminded me of "the beat goes on " from @Catzzzmeow quote.

I went back to sleep. I woke up to the sound of drinking water in Tobylove's only stainless bowl he would drink from everyday. I rolled over and looked at my watch. another goosebump moment. My fit bit screen was on the red heartbeat ECG image. I have never ever used it or installed it . Clairebare and Batman were still sleeping against me.

I got teary eyed and knew his spirit was home.

With tears and a shattered heart, sharing my strong boy warrior Tobylove gained his angel wings today at 2:14 PM.

( ironic time like valentines day date and his name)

This morning started like any other day. Tobylove was first up early to eat and play, his respiration rate was good at 28 .

We watched Pope Francis' funeral this morning, snuggled in bed sharing cuddles and Tobylove kisses.

I thought to myself what an extraordinary morning for me and him to watch history unfold today. I was thinking of Saint Francis of Assisi the patron saint of animals.
I took the dogs out and there was a big blue heron feather at the pond edge. I haven't seen a feather here in a long time, it gave me goosebumpps thinking was it a sign?.

Tobylove got up and played , scratched hard on his scratching pad got more to eat..... all was good until it wasn't....

I walked back in the room, he was sitting on the floor by the scratching pad play area . He looked up at me and I thought okay, you want to play. I reached down and he tried to get up and I immediately noticed rear leg weakness and he was wobbly. his extremities were warm but I noticed he started to open mouth breathe. My heart sank, I knew in my gut today was the day I had to be his voice with wings of peace and dignity.

I swaddled him in his favorite blankie and favorite cat toy he has had all his life.

I surrounded him with all my love and countless Tobylove kisses.

Rest easy sweet Tobylove. I love you forever and ever . " Until Then" my friend , My Tobylove.

I posted Tobylove's catwheel pics at 11:49 this morning, saying

and Tobylove sent me a sign shortly after at 1:19 pm today

I just took Gunnar outside, I opened the inside door onto the pool lanai and saw 2 whooping cranes up by my pool lanai looking in .
right there in the back yard standing there! took my breath away.

In 20 years living in this house, I have never seen this before.

I took Gunnar out the rest of the way to the backyard and made him sit.

Gunnar sat at my side ,so perfectly calm and quiet and just watched them with me..

It was like time stood still .


I watched the whooping cranes quietly in my thoughts, listened to them... and watched them fly to the sky

Another heartfelt sign from Tobylove at sunset tonight to help give my heart comfort and peace.. the blue heron returned and then flew off in the sunset sky, along with a Tobylove kisses cloud nose print. Took my breathaway. Thank you my sweet Tobylove for all the love and signs on our journey when my heart needed you most. You live in my jeart forever and ever.

Tobylove is very vocal now as well!

I hear you on the sadness about missing the sounds of the cat wheel - but yes sounds like he trying to give you other sounds now thru these signs!
