Wow, I really wana train mine. I am always envious of when I see cats that are toilet trained. I'd definately do it but I only have one toilet in my house, I don't fancy sharing!!! Maybe when I move . . . .

Yeah I am just hoping they can get to the final stages. A lot of back tracking at times and they are still not getting it all the time. They will go to the toilet and try and get in position and then they can so they leave. I guess we will see. yeah it would be really tough with just one toilet, don't think I could deal with it after going through this.

This is so cool! Good luck, hopefully they will be completely trained for you soon!

I would like to do this too but don't think I have the patience to do this, not to mention having 5 kids in the house that are always hogging the toilets:LOL:

Thanks, they are on the last stage now but can't seem to get them to transition to the toilet alone. I take the last tray away and then when they don't go for awhile I feel bad and put it back. trying to think of a way to fix this.

Litter Quitter says it will be a litter free cat in 8 weeks... not true much longer! I took my time teaching Morticia didn't wasnt to rush her, I started Sempetmber 1st, she just finished the green stadge last week, soooo worth not to have litter and dirty paws anymore, not to mentionate the smell and poo scoop! :) Morticia is like Mr Jinx now haha (from Meet the Parents) next time I need to teach her how to flush! hahah :BigSmile:

    Two things...

1- They now make a motion sensor that installs on your toilet that will flush it after so minutes of sensing motion.

and 2- Do they ever miss and pee / poop on the seat??:Woo:

Ohhhh I didn't know about the motion sensor! But Morticia has very regular pee/poo habits. 1 poo and 1 pee in the morning when I wake up and 1 pee and 1 poo in the afternoon/ evening (sometimes she only poo once a day), but the funny thing is she callls me (2 small meows) to see her pee / poo? haha :LOL: how funny! She rarely poo or pee without my presence which made litter quitter very easy to follow :)

2: when they are trained they squat low to pee and squat high for poo, 2 paws at the front of the seat, 2 paws at the end of the seat. There were a few accidents at the begining (with poo) but now she has the perfect position to do her business and straight into the hole! yay! I'm sooo happy I don't have to deal with litter and scoop the poo anymore !!

Hearing all these successful toilet training stories is encouraging:BigSmile: I will start toilet training with "citi kitty" (already bought it-hope it works as good as litter kwitter) as soon as skinderella comes next week. I think the girls will be fine but It's me I'm worried about- I'm a total clean freak:Sweat:

To be honest hun, I started Morticia on litter kwitter because I'm a clean freak too  Any healthy cat can be toilet trained. Again what the videos show on how easy it is, it's bull$. You'll be frustrated at times, but never give up!

How is Skinderella feeling, has she been spayed already?

    Best of luck!!!

Yeah took us about three months. We put a black carbon seat cover on ours because Twitch at the end would not poop on the toilet. I may need to cut the hole out a bit because Tux sometimes will leave a bit of poop. It only seems to happen about once a week but I looked at how he is sitting and I think if we cut a more out it will help. I was thinking of an auto flusher.

I think with 2 cats the auto flusher would be a great idea- wonder how it hooks up to the toilet???

Ok, I'm sold on the idea of a home without a litterbox, but what kind of litter do you use with this litter kwitter? I know the clay litter has got to be hard on plumbing! :Surprise:

I use worlds best right now in the litterbox and that flushes fine. They advertise that it's safe on plumbing (in moderation of course).

I used flushable stuff and I am for sure going to get a auto flusher I think.

Well, we took the leap last night and got a litter kwitter @ the petstore. I told my hubby that it can be my Christmas present  I am so excited! Hopefully we will be litter-free soon!:Laugh:

I would also buy the multicat inserts, even if you have only 1 cat. They break the process into smaller steps and make transitions from different size holes easier.
The best advice I got was take your time, when you think your cat is comfortable on the particular stage await another 2-3 weeks more and then move on to the next stage.

Very good advice. It may seem like it is taking forever but much better way to go.
