My breeder recommends 6 months or 5 pounds whichever occurs first. We have seen babies as young as 12 weeks get neutered as long as they are healthy your baby should be fine. Be sure to remind your vet not to use Ketamine for anesthesia. It can be very dangerous/fatal to this breed especially if there are any underlying heart conditions.
Many breeders want to spay/neuter before they send kitten home as unfortunately some folks can't be trusted to do it and end up breeding the cat without permission otherwise. That's understandable I think.
Personally I think around 5 months is better but one of my bubs was neutered at 12 weeks before he came home and he did just fine. Bounced right back as if it never happened. Some vets are very experienced with early spay/neuter.
@Meggymason here in the Netherlands almost all sphynxkittens that are selled as pets go to their new forever home neutered (when they're males), so they be neutered around 12 weeks.
Leo was neutered at 12 weeks... when we took him to get chipped the vet looked and said, "Oh he doesn't have much back there". We laughed and said that his neuter had already been done.
