hi there everyone , my Cleo gets terrible travel sickness when we go to the lake Distric Bagins is fine
If your naked babies get travel sickness what do you give them ?
We have tried keeping food from her before we travel , but that didn’t help
Any advice would be amazing thank you in advance

Oh poor Cleo. Hope others aith experience will chime in
I was really hoping somebody would help with this as it’s heart breaking so much so I put off going to our caravan in lakes it’s horrible to see her being sick and if we hold her food back it’s kind of worse as it’s like white throth ( sorry too much info ah ah )
I know the vet will have something but my worry is , is it safe for a sphynx

@Anita Eccleston Talk with your vet - they may have some great ideas
My moms cat had to get some meds for traveling when they moved

Sure others will chime in too

Do you put her in a crate in the car ?

I found putting kitty in a small crate amd covering 3 sides with a towel helps calm them.
When I adopted batman and Yoda I was told they get car sick

I covered the crate 3 sides with a towel and put in a cat nip toy ( supposedly calmimg ? )
I had a 7 hour drive with them -
no problems , neither got sick and slept most of the way -
No medications were needed

I also practiced - I would sit in the car with engine off -with kitty in crate with towel on front seat .
Built up time ..then short rides around the block
While prepping them for the 3600 mile move

Hiya Tammy , Cleo will not go into a carrier it really stresses her quite badly I tend to hold her , she is fine on the motorway ( your high way I think ? )
It’s when we get onto the bending twisting country lanes there is nothing but fields with a few farms dotted about and there are quite a few tickly tummy ups and downs for us it’s an amazing journey for Cleo it’s her worst nightmare , the Lake District is an awesome place feilds full of sheep , there are a few cattle / dairy farms
The mountain range is breath taking I love how it’s red hot and the clouds cover the peaks
But none of this is a comfort to Cleo , Bagins doesn’t mind being in the carrier but he doesn’t get sick , I do believe it’s the country lanes that cause her sickness , I shall see what our vet as to say about it .
When we first got Alfie he was travel sick but now he seems to have gotten over it
I will update when I have spoken to our vet
Thank you Tammy
