Hello lairians!!

Next week, I will be traveling by plane with my kitten. The flight is 2.5 hours long. Any tips on how to keep him comfortable during the flight and at the airport? I’m super nervous, but the only way to get home is by plane!

Oh so exciting to go home with your kitten. Is the kitten in a carrier with you? That will make the kitten be more relaxed I think.
I don't have experience with flying with a kitten. But if I'm correct @Maddie takes her sphynx on a plane regulary. Maybe she can chime in for advice

Bring a small soft blanket in the carrier in case it’s cold or he wants to hide. Also travel wet wipes in case of an accident and a ziplock baggie for the wipes if it’s smelly. I traveled with 2 of my kittens and they were very good. No meowing mostly sleeping. Also if you want him to use the bathroom before hand, try cleaning the box out the morning of. My guys usually race to be the first to use a clean litter box.

How exciting. This thread might be of help. How to prepare for a trip with your Sphynx cat

It is highly recommended that you contact your airline to be sure of the guidelines and fees. Do not assume you can take the kitten on board in the cabin w/o getting the specifics from the airline. There are regulations on most how many animals can be in the cabin. You do not want it in cargo area as we have heard horrible stories about the result for some, just heart breaking. Be sure your carrier is FAA approved.

Assume nothing....and research everything. Unfortunately even for humans flying isn’t easy these days.

Also check about vaccinations and if any are needed. If international travel there is much more involved.

I fly all the time with Astrid. We actually just did a 15 car ride lol she travels so well :)
A comfy airline approved carrier is definitely needed. Note you cannot print your boarding passes at home. They check the bag there and print them for you. Go early since there’s usually lines.
Pet kitty in the carrier lol offer treats :)
Stay calm yourself. If you freak kitty will freak
