So, the vet wants Astrid to eat wet food 1-2 times a week just incase she ever has kidney problems and that is all she can eat. He's had too many cats refusing to eat so he rather get all kitties used to it just to be safe.
I have tried three different meats so far (salmon, venison and kangaroo) and two different brands. Two were pate and one was stew (looks more like kibble so thought it'd be a go). But Astrid will not go near any of it. (The puppy on the other hand... well that's another story... let's just say he loves kangaroo lol I'm surprised there was paint left in the bowl the amount he was licking it)
She won't even eat kibble that has touched it/been in the same bowl. She apparently would not go near it for the breeder either. She does not spit it out when I put some on my finger and put it up her lip though.. she licks it out and eats it no problem.
The problem is getting her to eat the wet food by herself... Any suggestions?
I will try other brands and flavours but it's just weird that she will eat it if it's in her mouth, so thought I'd ask before I buy more, since she doesn't seem to mind the taste.
Thanks
Bonus picture of Astrid! Lol this is her "what do you mean I can't drink your water look?"
